The Omonoba is an Oyo man. Oba of Bini is Oyo, the ruling house of Benin is a dynasty
Meaning that Benin and edos are yorubas that migrated to their present land.

Nupe is Nupe. Igala is Igala

So you're wrong. Plus the Nupe actually did take over territories outside benin city that were under the oba in the 19th century
Nupe effectually reduced and weakend the Benin empire during this time

Do you care to show some documents to prove your claims ? To the best of my knowledge Benin Kingdom lost only one war and that was against united kingdom.

This Edoloaded guy and his multiple markers on NL funny die.
If Yoruba talk about Benin now, he will say we are obsessed with them, but he had to go dig out some story from the 15th century about Oyo empire, or do you want me to remind you of how one of your Benin Obas was killed by Igbos in Agbor?
Actually Agbor is part of Benin Kingdom, its citizens are Edo (Anioma subgroup of Edo), the story you are telling is pure fiction.

Revision on the move.....Agbor is not a part of Edo. Agbor are Igbo subgroup who speaks Igbo and practices Igbo culture with style of kingship about the only thing they borrowed from Bini. No Agbor man gives his children Bini names...they are all given Igbo names and speak Igbo dialect.

The problem with you is exaggeration.....ever wondered why Bini dug hole around themselves. Well, before the Portuguese arrival Bini were nobody and scared to their balls. Immediately after they got firearms after selling slaves they started wielding power and terrorizing communities around but no town in Nigeria speaks Bini language....lol. Even most Bini people born in Edo state doesnt even speak the language....I lived there for 5 years

Then go to the palace of the obi of agbor and collect the ada and eben[symbol of authority] in ancient Benin empire given to them by the oba of benin

This is the reason why your politicians can easily manipulate you. You are steeped in ethnic superiority while others excel in higher areas.

Bini that deafted little villages how much do they have to show for it...Their language is literally extinct. You should keep quiet....Even Ijaw can invade you, kill your king and take over your women, children and lands. You should be humble because you are minority and no serious traditional ruler of non descent pays homage to him....Agbor doesn't, Yoruba doesnt and no Igbo does..your little chiefdom will keep shrinking...changes are constant and just like British empire shrunk until they almost have no substance Bini chiefdom is following according with your language disappearing. You better be nice and humble to your neighbors

You can start by reading on the Jihads carried out on Benin controlled areas...

Nupe used the Islamic movements in the north as an excuse to expand their own political influence

I know you to be a troll but since you ask nicely and for the sake of others, I will share two academic works I've read on the subject

The Nupe Invasion of Esanland by Prof. Dr. Dawood Egbefo
The Jihad in the south: an outline of the 19th century Nupe hegemony by Micheal Mason

There are several more materials on this very subject

I think you mistook me for an unaware person. I asked you for historical documents which proved your claims. Not for more claims nor for claims of others whom are aligned with you. If something supposedly takes place in year 1800, then you need to show me a document written in 1800 which claims it. The nineteenth century saw a lot of publications about wars taking place in Africa and none of those documents mention Benin Kingdom losing any war against an African power. As acknowledged by all real scholars, there is only one war which Benin Kingdom is recorded as losing and that is against Britain. Like it or not, you can not rewrite it.

I think you have some mental problems, but that seems to be the norm in Nigeria. You are telling a story which makes no sense and which is laughable.
Let me give you some education: Benin Kingdom is not within the confines of Edo state. Benin kingdom was a large African precolonial country whose capital was called Benin city. Edo state and Delta state, Lagos are just a few parts of Benin Kingdom which is also refered to as Benin empire. City walls and ditches are a sign of military know how and advanced civilisation
All the greatest cities in the world had them, and that includes Paris, Rome... Only an animal like you would see being advanced as a negative thing. Yes Benin Kingdom was advanced with its own local technology while some neighbours were still living in the mud with pigs as brides.

This mofo has latent stage ignorance. That bogus map you have posted on numerous occasions and kept posting it hoping it might at some stage gain relevance is an insult to enlightened minds and a mockery to the academically learned historians. Anybody could have manufactured that toilet paper you call a document. There is absolutely nothing to prove Bini Kingdom had such spread....NO EMPIRICAL FACTS!! Also, I could remember you were the ffool that actually thought Igodomigodo extended all the way to Dahomey. You Bini leeches are unbelievable...you guys are littered all over the net working very hard to recreate your Bini fantasies....lmao...too late, Bini is history and will never become more relevant/popular/influential than they are today. For instance, though Onicha borrowed Bini culture but the only time you Agbogidi in Bini is based on a well articulated invitation and the only material culture of Bini left in Onicha is the sword which they borrowed. The chants which are very strong part of Onicha culture is rooted in Igbo.

Secondly , why don't you tell us the areas the Bini mound surrounded abi you no know say I be Ohoro boy...well, those exact areas surrounded by the mound explains the extent of your chiefdom...lol.

For your information, it is OBA OF BENIN. Also, the everyday dressing code of the Oba of Benin is a postcolonial creation. His precolonial dressing code is seen during ceremonies like his coronation. These chiefdoms as you call them, they themselves acknowledge their Benin roots. Precolonial maps like the ones I posted show them to be part of Benin kingdom. But, like the usual ignorant black man, you can keep on ranting.

The usual black ignoramus, ranting as usual.
An intelligent person would ask for the source of the Maps. And that source is Gallica, as all can see.
What is Gallica ? Gallica is the website of one of the most important libraries in the world: Bibliothèque nationale de France. Whom are the authors ? This is available in the website. When were the maps made ? I wrote down the dates and they can be verryfied on the website. But like the usual black fool, please keep ranting. Don't use your brain, create your own reality.

The beaded robe your Oba wore on his coronation day is,actually a Portuguese cassok knitted with coral beads....you made a derogatory statement about Igbo dressing in the precolonial times but the Portuguese were the ones that clothed your Oba that looked like he was dug up from the ground....You can never win this as long as you keep exaggerating your influence

The material to make the beeds are believed to have been sold by the Portuguese. My friends that is international trading nothing unusual in a civilised country. Now you pushed your imagination by claiming the Oba of Benin was naked before the Portuguese allegedly sold the material. This is once again laughable, indeed the Portuguese wrote about their first encounter with the King, and they describe what he is wearing. Also, the Benin bronze recorded the first visit of the Portuguese and they show the Oba to already be wearing an outfit. This your jealousy needs to be checked before it consumes your soul. By the way, when did I mention Igbo in my comment ? You are really crazy.

Unaware? no! A foolish troll with the intelligence of a chimpanzee? maybe. You have that reputation on this forum

That's why I can't waste my time engaging you in an argument, imagine me doing that in 2019 with you again
You can get your hands on the scholarly journals I mentioned, they also come with their own sources.

You are an incredible hack. Giving me historical documents which validate your claims would take less time than your latest response if such documents exist.
But they don't so all you can do is yap and yap and not produce proof. For years now, you have been making unfounded claims. No proof, just claims and claims and more claims...When asked for proof, well you start insulting like the crook you are. If you want to have an intellectual discussion, which you don't seem to be able to hold, then you need to produce first hand knowledge rather than constantly quoting others and asking interlocutors to take it up with those whom you quote. This only shows your place in any debate would be best occupied by those whom you quote rather than yourself. In other words, you are a toddler trying to play with the big boys. Keep your mouth shot and ask those whom you quote to answer the call. Then I would destroy them like I did destroy you many many many times.

In 1457, the king of Nupe invaded Oyo and sacked the capital where Onigbogi, the Alaafin (king), fled to the land of the Ibariba and died there.

The Oyo Empire had no Alaafin for 85 years until Ofinran became Alaafin in 1542.
