You haven't said anything wrong or insulted at all, and trust me, such transaction wouldn't be available for pick up or pay on delivery because the actual seller wouldn't let go of his/her stock without payment first, and such people don't even take returns.
For an item of this amount, it's usually EXCEPT ANYTHING, could be same as pictured or poor on seeing.

However, what the Oga ought to have done is explain the situation to you and not just keep a customer waiting.

Well, sorry if I sound like you don't want to sell, I was just pointing out that it shouldn't be like that, since it's an online business and there's no physical shop, there should be an option of pick-up, I wanted to get for myself and for a friend but needed to see the quality first, that was why I insisted on picking up.

Oh, Thank you. I thought I missed something. She should have just told me it is strictly pay first and she'll deliver, then if I want to go ahead it's left to me instead of reading and ignoring anytime I mention meeting or pick up, the address she put on her ad that I saw is not far from where I stay, so I could easily send someone to meet up anywhere around there, get the shoes from her and give her the money.
