The part about the stop rate has already been answered.

TBills auctions are done fortnightly and that is the reason you had to wait for a week for the next auction.

Also, if you are doing TBills for the first time, you would be requiring a custodial service and this cost less than a thousand naira (#300 with Stanbic). It is a one-off!

About #300 was deducted for mine too. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Bro/Sis, The discount rate of 10% is per annum so for 182 days would be half that rate which is 5%. TB is a low-risk security hence the meagre ROI. Just take solace in the fact that your money is kept somewhere and you have access to it anytime.

Thank you

Hello guys, please I have a very important question and I will appreciate if anyone can help with an answer, especially if you have the same experience.
My company partnered with a US based company which I work with but from Nigeria, the US compy pay my salary to the Nigerian compy who then pay me. I can get a reference letter from the US comp to show as evidence that I work with them. I noticed this will earn me 50 more points. Is it okay to claim this.

I can confirm that ICES evaluates OND as Two-year diploma and HND as Four-year Advanced diploma. Just received mine, but its a whole LONG wait, approximately 19 weeks after all documents were received by ICES. Although the evaluation was completed in 17 weeks; it took two weeks to get to me.

Big congratulations. May the rest of the journey be smooth.

I have a rookie question about TBills.

One, I have TB with Investment One for 1m. Just to be clear, using it for POF shouldn't be a problem right? I ask because Investment One is not a bank although I believe an online search will confirm that they offer such services.

Two, there are two different figures on the face of what I believe is my TB certificate. The discounted value and face value. I believe I can claim the face value as POF and the discounted value shouldn't raise eye brows abi?

This is fine. No issues at all.

Yes, face value. I claimed the face value of my investment.

Hello guys,

Please I registered for IELTS on Thursday last week, I made payment at Zenith Bank via bank transfer option. The officials said I could make payment through my mobile app, which I did.

Now the issue is that I just got an email saying my booking has been cancelled because they haven't received my payment.

Please has anyone experienced this? how can I go about reversal? And what's the best way to make payment going forward?

As long as that institution provides financial services. My POF is in an Asset Management Firm.

Of course VOs know the dynamics of TBills and would understand that interest is earned upfront and at maturity you get the #1m FV.

It is no big deal bro.

Thanks for the prompt responses.
@princekins I believe it is a mistake on the part of WAEC. The one and only date of birth I have is 16/12/1991. That's what is on my birth certificate, University transcript and my international passport.

@johnnybravo1990 I submitted my WAEC to Wes and it was sent by courier to Canada.

@funshobabs why not. I'm worried. Please our Daddies and mummies in this journey, help your Pickin oooo

Just do an affidavit....a 'NOTE' is a query or something they want to be given attention/notice to, which in this case they intend the IRCC officials to be aware of.

I just gave my one kobo opinion, not a guru here though.

Don't try to reverse nothing.

Did the transfer go through? If it did, you were supposed to put a call across to them to confirm receipt of your payment.

It happened to me and those BC guys cancelled my test because they claimed my payment had not been successful. All efforts aimed at reinstating my test date was abortive so they offered to include me in the next test date after confirming my payment.

They would eventually slate you for the next one. However, these guys are just professionals during the organization of the test yet offers nothing in Customer Service. I was really appalled at their poor CS which is a sharp contrast of the customer centric organization I work for. They would promise to call you back to no avail. You get to spend an average of 15 minutes on hold trying to speak with them, once it is 2.59pm, no one takes the call. Try to call in the morning and send emails too.

Best of luck.

Sorry about your experience. I recently registered for the test with BC and paid online too using Zenith. They however responded acknowledging receipt of my payment. Same situation, different outcome, I wonder why. Keep sending them emails until it is rectified.

-Pebc sends your ECA report along with receipt of your payment via normal post. There's no soft copy to be downloaded. If using a Nigerian address, ensure it is valid and easily accessible.Your ECA is sent via Canada post to our local post here.

-Lawyer, Notary Public. Please read the document evaluation section of the pebc website. Google document evaluation pebc.

You don't have to explain why you have different last names. It's a choice not the law.

Thanks. That's exactly what my hubby said ..just trying to be sure..lol

You don't need to explain anything in LOE, just make sure your marriage certificate is included. I did not have to.

Jesusbabygirl:

Congrats to you and your hubby. Do you mind if I ask a question?..You dont mind right? Thanks

My question - In your LOE for why you have a different surname from your husband, what was your reason?
I also have a different surname from my husband, so I will probably add a LOE for that.
Besides, for LOE, what is the format?

Mention him in your application as a dependent child. Even if he is not accompanying you now. He will need to do medicals and you will need to have enough funds to cover him.

Makes it easier to bring him in the future.

If he is under 18 when you decide to bring him in the future, his mother will need to consent.

Your witness can only be a lawyer or notary public or commissioner of oath. For address to receive ECA report, try and use a Canadian, US or UK address.
