Age of Admission has got to be reviewed and enforced at 18 years minimum. These kids come in at 15 with instagram and hollywood concept of life. After loafing about for the first 2 years, there comes a sudden realization that they need to leave with at least a 2nd class and a cascade is set up that can end pretty badly.

You have no business being a parent in Nigeria if you can't teach your child about the rigors of life. Even if you live in luxury, the child should be made to understand that life is not a bed of roses and in a flash the luxury can disappear. This basic knowledge can help in protecting that luxury and also different spheres of the child's life. Swallowing Television/Celebrity happiness hook, line and sinker is dangerous..

I do not encourage suicide but before you rain insults on her remember that the society we are in only celebrate the average and exceptional and many are not able to take the ridicule of being below average.

Some of us did badly at the genetic lottery, so bad that we we don't even have the executive function to suppress the emotions and anxiety caused by the shortcomings in our genetic code.

Remember where there is a will, there is a way. In this information age, it is very unlikely you find yourself in a situation that someone has not found him or herself before and persevered. Do your research and read alot. Life has not been a funfare for most of us but we have to keep moving.

The faculty should be sincere in this issue. Its a very sensitive one and ought to be handled as such. Then why didn't she graduate with her colleagues at the right time. As long as it's OAU. The press realease from the management is a lie. Those lecturers are something else. I believe they quickly made up her grades to give the impression that they didn't play any role in what led to the depression and eventual suicide. It's really unfortunate. I pray those lecturers change their ways before God's judgment comes upon them. angry
