Having failed to succumb to court rulings to release the leader of the Shites Islamic movement, the presidency yesterday honoured the decision of the court by releasing El ZakZaky to go for medical treatment.



Reacting to this latest development, former aviation minister; Femi Fani Kayode via his twitter handle thanked President Buhari for finally honouring court orders. In his tweet, he was quoted saying:

I COMMEND @MBUHARI FOR HONORING THE COURT ORDER AND RELEASING SHEIK EL ZAKZAKY. I URGE HIM TO RELEASE COL. SAMBO DASUKI,WHO HAS BEEN IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS DESPITE NUMEROUS COURT ORDERS TO RELEASE HIM, @YELESOWORE, @DADIYATA AND ALL OTHER POL. PRISONERS.

However, many Nigerians feel that this latest development is not far from the fact that the last protest/riot staged by the El ZakZaky led movement in Abuja led to wanton destruction of lives and properties.
