I received an email from Nigeria Custom Service (N. C. S) 4 days back, on saturday, requesting that i should fill an application form attached in the email and send it back. I filled appropriatley and sent it back on Monday.

Today, i received a response from them stating the following:

Dear Applicant

This is a confirmation that your application for the 2019 Nigeria Custom Service Replacement is successful

Your application number is .....

NOTE: You are expected to come to our office in Wuse Zone 3 Abuja to pick up your invitation letter for interview. On or before 8th of Aug 2019.

In case you can’t make it to our office due to any inconveniences, you will have to pay a token of 5,000 Naira to the officer in charge of approving the letters and you will receive the letter through your email and print it out where ever you are.

Note: If you are coming to the office, you will get the letter without paying any amount.


Kindly contact the Protocol officer Mr. Bello on 08030910642 if you want to receive the letter through your email.

Do not call if you are coming to the office to collect your letter.

Obviously SCAM. A government recruitment won't ask you to call a specific number rather tell applicants to converge at a designated place

I suspected the same, that's why I want to confirm first.

Its fake... I've been sent that form even before custom started the recruitment process....I filled and submitted...then they told me and friend to call one Mr. For a code....then we knew it was fake

I got same mail today but still doubting the source though I applied since February

If you applied for anything with the Customs, place a call through to determine the authenticity. Or better still go to any of their offices and get duly informed. Don't dash some idiots your money.

I have sent them email through info@customs.gov.ng hope to get their response soon.

It's a scam and I fell for it, they asked me to send 5k to this account Michael Onyema Anderson, 0115837978, after payment the guy has refused to pick my call, this is the guy's no; 08030910642 please don't fall a victim.
