You understand Ibo but im not sure you understand PDP. Let me share with you that PDP is desperate to regain ruling power. They understand now what it will take to get back in power. Popularity, or lack of, does not get you elected in modern times. Its numbers, numbers and numbers! The second most important criteria is a persona with a overwhelming acceptance across more than a third of the nation (2 out of 6 regions).

To that end they need blocs with huge population strength and where ratio of registered voters to turn out on the ground is very close and those people are locked in to the anchoring persona. .

Ibos dont meet that criteria. The population of SE registered voters is the lowest. The turn out on election day is lowest. There is no motivating voice with wide acceptance across Iboland....much more across two regions. The odds are stacked against Ibo getting the much desired victory for PDP in 2023.
