Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have killed a shop owner in Ijegun area of Lagos.

Biliki was hit by a bullet on Saturday after the policemen fired at a suspect who was on the run.

Igbere TV gathers that the shop owner was hit while in her store which is on a street close to the Oba’s palace.

One of the SARS operatives was immediately mobbed by irate residents.

Biliki was said to have died in a hospital.

Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, has not made a statement on the incident.

This policeman did not deserve jungle justice. The incidence was absolutely in error and unintentional. They should have allowed the law and even the family involved decide, we would be surprise at what the family may say
