By Magaji Isa Hunkuyi,

Many people were said to have been arrested by team of detectives in Ibbi, Taraba State.

Several security agents were deployed to the town following the killing of three policemen and a civilian by soldiers at a checkpoint along Ibbi-Wukari road.

The team it was gathered was hunting for suspected kidnap kingpin Hamisu Wadumi who escaped at the checkpoint where the policemen were killed.

A source in the area told Daily Trust on Sunday that the team was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.

It was gathered that some of those arrested were taken to a police area command in Wukari while others were taken to Jalingo, the state capital.

More than 15 trucks of soldiers and policemen were said to be deployed in the town to effect the arrests.

It was also gathered that vehicles belonging to the suspected kidnapper were retrieved from his house and other locations in the town by the police.

Ibbi, located by the Bank of River Benue, is said to have been deserted following the killings of the policemen.

The Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP David Misal could not be reached for comments as his line was switched-off when our reporter called him.

Please i dont want anybody found culpable after investigation to be spared.
They should be lined up at the nearest bar beach/desert and shot at close range.

In every village, all kidnappers are known!
they are protected by the chiefs who feed of crime proceeds and other villagers who envy and scramble for tips from them.
i have spoken! sad

Nigeria's number 1 detective and exceptional crime fighter DCP Abba Kyari should please be very watchful of the military personnel with him because I don't trust the military division in Taraba again since the Taraba incident. Seems like they are complicit with the kidnapper they rescued and intentionally released, and killing 3 members of the best team of detectives we have in Nigeria. God bless DCP Kyari and his team, God bless the NPF, God bless our Military and God bless Nigeria.

Let me finish this meat first
Modified:
Shege security operatives! It only requires the right intel and a few policemen to arrest the kidnapper just like they did at first. What they should focus their energy on is fishing out the soldiers who killed policemen and rescued the kidnapper at first and subjecting whoever set them to that task to firing squad.
I remember an interview with a certain tiv militant called Gana where he said he was contracted by some "mallams" to wipe out some communities in Taraba state and how he charged them a billion naira because he needed to settle the army and police in Taraba. This thing is business for these military officers. We will not accept anything less than firing squad for those that collude with criminals.

It's a bad thing being a bloody civilian in this country. Killers will kill army/police, they will arrest bloody civilians, Army will keep police, they will still arrest civilians. Imagine police and army teaming up to arrest innocent people

Doing last, what they should have done first. Shey the military for synergize with the police the first instant to arrest the kidnap kingpin, rather Dem open fire for the police people claiming they were the kidnappers. E get wetin Dem Neva tell us joor for this issue.

Detectives went to Ibi looking for Hamisu. Really, detectives...are they sure? So they grabbed me from home first time and I was set free by intervention on people on my payroll. Do they not know that before they left to come get me a second time my interveners had called ahead and alerted me to their plan. No problem, Im in Cameroon chopping Salah meat. grin grin

Awon end time detectives!

Hope they also arrest some of those Ghoulish voyeurs depicted in that Video arguably defiling the dead bodies of those detectives by snapping photos in a celebratory mood and moving the bodies about mockingly. Several should be easy to apprehend since selfsame video implicate them.

In fact, Nigeria needs a new law specifically for prosecuting people that shoot mobile phone videos of accident victims or people that are caught in helpless situation that could be alleviated by public assistance not public videoing.
