No am not staying long in India atall but am concerned is that I have paid India application fees and I was asked to go get something.. hope that application fees I paid will still be valid?? I have read cases where the applicant sent a Case Specific Enquiry + an email on same issue and they asked the applicant to submit the passport to their embassy in the country where the applicant is currently visiting.

So you can do same. Send a Case Specific Enquiry + an email when you are ready.

(2) As I don't live in Nigeria but I will be in Nigeria soon, so can I apply from Nigeria and can I use some of my Nigerian documents ties?

(3) Can I apply and get a reply within 3 weeks with paper application in Nigeria?

(3) Do they issue paper application conference visa in Nigeria or London?

Have you tracked it with the new tracking number you were given when you submitted your passport? They wouldn’t send you a message that it is ready like in my case. I only got a counterfoil message from cic stating the validity of the visa.

Yes, I was able to track it today and it showed "still being processed ". How long did your own take? I am yet to receive counterfoil message either. Was it an email or from cic account? I Really need the passport back asap for an urgent trip.

You are not too early my brother. I applied in March and got passport request in July and if you see my earlier post till now my passport is not yet returned to me. That's almost 6months. Some are lucky though they get decision early. But bottom line is October is not too early.

I mean when i return back to Nigeria, my sweet father land.
I was recently issue the UK visa.I want to travel to ghe UK and return on the 17th Oct and have my Canada tourist visa biometric done on the 18th Oct for a possible trip April.

I can't believe it takes a whole five months (March, April, May, Jun, Jul) to determine if they will approved or refuse visa application request. I guess you may taken a full truck load of documents to them and you have lots of travel history.

The first is actually imm5257e and the second is imm5257b.

There are background questions in imm5257e that requires you to fill Imm5257b if you answer yes to any of the questions.

Also there's a section that captures travel history in imm5257b.

It took exactly a week to get the passport back. I got update from cic on counterfoil then I tracked my passport and it stated ready for collection at vfs. You can call vfs to find out what is happening.?

I have read from this platform people getting passport request even after the event has passed. I am a living example although when I noticed my initial date has passed, I booked another related appointment and I attached it using case specific web form. So if your event is flexible, you can do same. IRCC accesses your admissibility beyond your present trip. Their focus is to be sure there is a higher tie back home that will be taking you out of their country every time you visit. ABOVE IS MY MERE THOUGHT
