This indicate the average time it took them to process an application in the past 3months but I still feel that their processing time is just generic. Unlike UKVI that once 15 working expires they will contact you telling you "your application is not straightforward". IRCC will never contact you after the expiration of the 45 or 64 days CAP. Even if you contact them they hardly respond. So patience is the word.

Happy holiday house! Please can someone throw light on this processing time question. When I applied it was 45days now it showing 64days. Thank you all

In addition, CIC uses both PROJECTED and HISTORICAL methods to calculate processing times.

PROJECTED is based on the number of current applications and how quickly they can process 80%. This system is used for PR applications.

HISTORICAL is based on how long it took to process 80% of applications in the past. TRV falls under this category.

According to data available from 2017-2018, CIC didn't meet the 80% target. They were only able to meet 66% of which 4/5 was around 22days processing time.

I have read from this platform people getting passport request even after the event has passed. I am a living example although when I noticed my initial date has passed, I booked another related appointment and I attached it using case specific web form. So if your event is flexible, you can do same. IRCC accesses your admissibility beyond your present trip. Their focus is to be sure there is a higher tie back home that will be taking you out of their country every time you visit. ABOVE IS MY MERE THOUGHT

Please how can I assess this case-specific webform?

Hello all!

Between paper-based application and online application which of them is faster?

What is the current maximum processing time for visa application?

I learnt one's chance is higher to get a visa when he gets an invitation from a Canadian than booking for hotel accommodation? Is that a fact.

Does application from Abuja receive priority with regards to visa approval and processing time?

Thanks for your response.

No one can really say for now. Submitted my paper based since 29th of July. No update yet. Just keeping my fingers crossed. Patience is the key word here. Anything anyone say now is based on assumption. All the best

Where do they normally issue their visit/tourist visa? Some people said Ghana, some said Lagos, some said London, and now the attached screenshot is showing Kenya. Confused! undecided
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by FYsol: 5:45pm On Aug 13, 2019
Valid question. I know for sure applications are treated at different countries but when passport is requested, are they sent to the country where the application is processed? May be this will explain why some get their passport back before others.

I think they move applications around depending on the workload. So far I have seen Paris, London, and Nairobi processing our applications.

High paying job - yes I work for a major oil & gas company for over 4 years and recently got a promotion and salary increase which I attached in my new application , Assets - not much though I have a registered event planning business and running since 2016 - attached all CAC documents
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by FYsol: 9:44pm On Aug 13, 2019
Employment with a major oil and gas for over 4years is a strong tie. I wish you all the best in the new application. There is a myth that the longer your application the more chances of approval. It means they are working on it. So dont panic

I think they took their time to scrub off some information from the GCMS. I hear they normally do that.

The notes speak of incentives. My mad mind feels that it's a connection with your fiance's family. I guess we will find out with this second application.

Meanwhile, does your biometric status show completed instead of we do not require your fingerprints?

You will most likely be issued the visa. I wouldnt say same if it were a bank you work for. All the best.

Which page did you screenshot. The summary of the reason(s) for refusals is usually on the last page. From what you posted, the reasons are not there.

I submitted my application 26th June, and my status is still same as yours.

Let's hope for the best.

Just as someone said above, that the longer it takes ,the likelihood one will be granted. I really hope that's true and it's not because of the long processing time these days.

@NothingDome I understand cz i dont get what incentives they are referring to, but still highly doubt they'll know of my fiance as we never mention names but my fiance will be re-applying this week and he will mention my name . Hopefully it wont affect my chances as i am currently on Day 52 as at today awaiting eligibility review.

Talking about wiping info. In my gcms notes, they actually wiped off an info I clearly didn't put in my application and the person who reviewed my application implied it.

I didn't know it's a common occurrence.
