Those of waiting for the next batch, did you all get the update from first bank about the process?

Yes, I got the mail
Re: First Bank 2019 Graduate Trainee Assessment Centre Invite by ezzylee(m): 12:46pm On Aug 14, 2019
Got my mail at 12.20pm.

It’s nice that they’re giving us some reassurance that we’ve not been forgotten.

that part that referred to successful candidates still being contacted, should give hope to those that were not sent the last mails.

Or what did you make of it

Based on this statement “While the candidates who were successful in their Assessment Centre are still being contacted by the Bank in phases for on-boarding and Training School, the on-boarding for those who are yet to be invited will resume in due course.”, I feel people are still gonna be contacted for other batches. The people who got the first mails stating that they’ll be contacted for the next batch, in my opinion would most likely be called for the next batch. Then people who haven’t gotten any mails at all but are already shortlisted by FBN would get mails for the next batch after this coming one.

Just my thoughts. These are not facts.

FBN is such a wonderful organization... this is one of the best and most transparent/organised recruitment process so far.

FBN deserve the accolades. This worth emulating especially for firms that seek volume of talents/candidates during their recruitment process.

Reassurance mail... FBN is a bae!

The mail is really a relief. Thank God for it. Hoping to get the real deal soonest. Trusting that we should be invited for documentation before the end of August or early into September sha!

I think everything about the second batch will be on hold until the first batch rounds up. What matters is that we will be in the next batch.

Let's look forward for documentation and meds by early or mid September...

It took about a month before those in the current batch were called to resume TS after medicals.

I see us starting TS by October sha

How much does First Bank pay their entry level staff?

How much does the bank pay training school students/candidates?

Training school 70k verified

I heard after successful training, the pay is about 130-140k - Not from a very reliable source

Lol! OK.. The 70k during training is correct.

But then, the "140k thereabout" is just the face value. If you prorate the quarterly and annual allowances across the 12 months of the year, you'd realise that FBN pays one of the highest remunerations in the industry, and that's just the financial aspect. The non-financial aspect is a story for another day.

My guy pls kindly share any tip on dat non financial aspect. Do they subsidise professional exam fees?

Job security

You get to take some professional courses online for free, and if you take the courses religiously, you'd stand a chance to take premium courses (online or offline) in some of the best business schools in the world.

I can't name-drop everything right now. You'd know the others when you're eventually in the system.

I agree with you on the job security aspect and the allowances (13th month salary and other bonuses).
