That is a general appeal and it makes a whole lot of sense. Don't try to read meanings into it or think it's directed at any particular person.

That's very true. They are even many in the industry. And it is because some churches do not help them grow their talents and they forget that these guys also need some cash to pay their bills and this is because they believe they are doing God's work and their reward is in heaven.

The truth many don't know is that these people he's addressing, many built and trained themselves before church snatched them and became useful for churches. Many instrumentalists even went as far as paying to learn instruments and even saved to buy these instruments for their personal uses before they became experts at them and only then churches saw them useful. He should stop blackmailing them. They Need to moneytize their talents in any legit way, just like he also isn't releasing his films for free

I beg to disagree
Who gave the guys the platform to develop
? It is the Church.
No doubt success has a price, but who discovered you and gave you the platform to explore in spite of you mediocrity matters.
It is sad to note that after they have developed, one label snatches and they sell their soul for filthy lucre.

Church didn't give them platform on humanitarian service, churches needed their services and hence they needed them in choir., even free of charge most times despite the fact many of these guys paid personal sacrifices to get these skills. If they don't perform in choir, who will church need to do that? Church will need to pay for instrumentalists outside to do that.

Do you wonder why many churches today now pay for instrumentalists to perform in their services?

Instrumentalists, singers, actors or anyone don't owe churches anything, rather, churches owe them for the free services they enjoyed from these people while they were with them.

I play drums in church and I can say church didn't owe me anything, I developed myself and same goes for many instrumentalists today. I've seen young boys starving themselves to buy guitars, keyboards. Young guys going from one concerts to another just to hone their skills.

Churches owe these guys, not other way round.

This entitlement mentality should stop. When it is time for instrumentalists to monetize his skills, he should be allowed and not be guilty trapped by churches.

I repeat; many instrumentalists develop themselves with personal sacrifices paid without churches' contributions. Churches make use of them when they see they are good for choir. This isn't community service from the churches, infect they enjoy these instrumentalist without paying anything to them.

Bamiloye's stance could only be accepted if a church sponsors any instrumentalist or contributes to his skills.
