That sounds a bit too much if the parts are indeed sourced onshore. More investment is needed to drive that price down.

We have shown you the side-by-side differences between the iconic vehicle that inspired the Chinese made BAIC BJ80 SUV, i mean the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, and the Innoson IVM G80 luxury SUV.

But the question that reminded unanswered is : Is the Innoson G80 truly a made-in-Nigeria SUV or just Nigerian-assembled version of the Chinese made BAIC BJ80 SUV?

According to the wiki page of BAIC BJ80 SUV, the Innoson G80 is a variant of the mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV that is manufactured by BAIC Motor under Beijing Auto Works (BAW), a subsidiary of Beijing Auto Industry Corporation (BAIC).

It's part of the game. If you are a Nigerian manufacturer, don't EVER make your product cheap too early. Why? Nigerians see cheap products as inferior.

He should even increase the price even though he may not make much sales. The game is to attach lots of value and respect to the brand.

Whenever you see a man driving Innoson, the first thing that'll come to your mind is, "This man must be rich."

Just like Nigerian cables — they aren't cheap and Nigerians value them more than foreign cables.

So, he should only sell his cars to the elites for years, before watering it down for others. With this, his brand will be respected. Apple does this. Nothing from Apple is cheap.

With respect to a brand, comes loyalty. With loyalty, comes more sales in the future despite how expensive it is.

Rich people don't buy for the price, but how the product makes them feel. It's all about the emotion a product evokes in you.
