sweetsell:he did. Bello was the candidate at the rerun election after the 1st election was declared inconclusive. If the 1st election had been declared conclusive, Faleke, the then deputy would have become the governor. |

It was God that gave Ameschi victory of his political godfathers who did him wrong in truncating his victory at his party primary then.. This after thought declaration is immaterial |

U NEED TO INVESTIGATE AND READ MORE BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING HERE. THE SUPREME WAS NEVER WRONG IN THEIR JUDGEMENT. THE COMING OF THE ELECTORAL ACT 2011CURED THE LACUNA/DEFECT THAT WAS PREVAILING IN THE ELECTORAL ACT 2007. NOW,BASED ON THE ELECTORAL ACT 2011,A PARTY WHO DID NOT TAKE PART IN ALL THE STAGES OF THE ELECTION CAN NO LONGER BE DECLARED WINNER OF AN ELECTION. ALL THEY DID WAS TO FOLLOW THE ELECTORAL ACT. |

mekuxiani:then the law recognises the winning party at the final stage(and the candidate that won the primaries) not the candidate that participated in the final stage( that is substituted candidate) .. .but now the candidate must participate in all the elections and being the winning party. |

felixomor:The Electoral act was amended in 2015 by NASS. Read the post slowly again and you'd understand that the law guiding the SC judgement then has been amended, thus the ruling"set aside" |

ejimatic:If it's pdp that is in power do you think they will allow such lacuna to stand? or if it's the pdp candidate that died in the process,do you think APC led FG will accept the lacuna? Pls take a cursory look at this:The controversial law according to the Supreme Court has been set aside by Section 141 of the electoral act which says that before anybody is declared elected in any election, such person must participate in all the stages of the election. |

It’s amusing when fools try proving they ain’t foolish. You mean to tell in a similar role today Bello would have become the governor or you are too foolish to understand why Saraki changed the law after accomplishing his goal “stop Faleke cos of his affiliation to Tinubu” with the lacuna generated by the constitution ?! But today where’s Saraki ?! ObaIgwe1: |

Sunmolar:. I appreciate your feelings.it is my opinion that the PDP government masterminded the review of our electoral laws and acts to check the rate at which APC was using court cases to come in to power. The review has both positive and negative effects on our elections. On the contrary .Yaya Bello took part in the election that produced him as the winner.By the time Audu died a by-election was ordered and that made the previous election inconclusive. So from the position of the law Bello took part in the election that produced him as the governor of Kogi State. |

Have you noticed that the Nigger in the name Nigeria is everywhere here, even in the ZOO Court... Omehia was trying to develop the state with connecting to neighboring brethren in Imo and Abia, and the CABAl saw a Yes Yes thirsty Nigger called Amaechi that was willing to derail that and kiss up to them... Imagine he named or rather. Renamed the stadium in his shell shocked area after Gowon.... Things have fallen apart with exception of IPOB |

Samusu:Lazy youth, go and read the write up. Take note of the part quoted below; The court agreed with him and added that section 285(13) of the constitution is in pari materia section 141 of the electoral act. That AMECHI Vs INEC is no longer a good law as same has been set aside by the aforementioned section of the Electoral Act. This implies that an amendment to the electoral act, specifically section 141 has made the AMAECHI Vs INEC judgement no longer valid but as at the time the judgement was given, it was valid because section 141 of the electoral act did not exist in the current form. of the Electoral Act, it becomes very obvious the order, that the Appellant, standing disqualified be replaced by the 1st the Respondent as the candidate of the 2ndrespondent of the already concluded election, was made per incuriam. The order was a nullity the courts below have made the order ultra vires”
