They're supposed to have a general consensus as a team, you as a team member can only chip in ideas which can be utilized or dismissed. If the supposed smartest person in your team shuts down your idea and is backed by the team president, the idea will start to even look like shit to you. Jackye and Mike ruined the presentation, no two ways about it

I get you, but it also depends on how confident/ assertive Mercy was when selling the idea. If she was unable to even convince herself that the idea makes sense, how would she have convinced her team members and let them take her seriously.

The idea is to make sure you are also one of the supposed smart people whose opinions should count in the team and not just dismissed because it's coming from a Mercy.

Dianne mentioned something about her insistence on making the shoe rack or something, which was also initially shut down.

Mercy needs to do better next time to avoid this bickering.
