Trying to accuse the western countries of greed because our politicians are thieves is just another way of justifying and legitimizing criminality by criminals. It is that simple to understand your posts (for those trying to make it seem that a wrong can justify another).

Whatever crimes or atrocities politicians commit in Nigeria is not the duty of the western governments to checkmate. Nigeria is a sovereign nation. Except you want western nations to recolonize Nigeria and rule over us. Talking about not issuing visa etc. is asking another nation to take action regarding Nigerian matters. And often times, when it doesn't involve war and killings on large scale, western nations won't interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. Before seeking ideas to legitimize scam in your skewed minds, educate yourselves how international politics and relations work.

If you have a leadership crisis in your country, it is the responsibility of the people to do something about it. As much as you would want to blame everything on leadership and its failures, there are Nigerians cheering on bad leadership. So we are problems to our own selves before trying to blame western nations. Western nations don't vote in our elections, they don't buy or sell votes and they didn't force anyone to deposit looted monies into their banks. They didn't force anyone to apply for visas either.

I am by no means justifying the actions or inactions of western governments. I am only telling you to stop looking for ways to justify the criminality of our own brothers by apportioning blame and playing the blame game. By the time western nations stop issuing visas, you will still complain because it will affect everyone. Not issuing visa to the relatives of corrupt politicians won't stop the online criminals from still applying for visa and wanting to settle in the western countries to commit fraud. You're only pampering crime with your excuses and justifications by trying to shift the ball into the court of western nations.

There is absolutely nothing smart about defrauding people of their 'hard earned' resources.
Is just a betrayal of trust, laziness and nothing more. And the main problem of some Nigerians in abroad is this stupid mindset of making money the 'easy and quick way'. You can make money the 'easy way' but is just have to be legitimate money and not through fraudulent acts. I remember when one stupid Nigerian fella met me in Chicago some years back, dude was practically asking me to connect him to were 'big and quick money' is made. You have no formal education, no skill, no nothing whatsoever and you want to make quick money. I just pushed him off because associating with people like that will only land you into trouble.

There are many Nigerians who are genuinely making names for themselves and breaking grounds, they are hardworking, honest, very intelligent and game changers. And to be frank, the constitute the majority Nigerians in US, but the very few bad Nigerians are giving the Nigerians/Nigeria bad name. Why sell your entire properties just to travel to Europe/America and become a criminal? Doesn't make any sense.

And with this inconsiderate trump in power, we should be rest assured that he will want to start punishing every hardworking Nigerian in the US just because of the sins of very few.

If you are talking about cyber attack, you might say Nigerians are learners. Know cyber attack is not always majorly for money, but information, protests, just plain defacing and to threaten. But for scamming, Nigeria tops the list.

The mainstream always paint Nigeria as the headquarter of fraud whereas all the yahoo boys in Nigeria combined can't make the kind of money a Russian or Chinese hacker will make in two weeks. A Nigerian scammer will collect $1500 and spray his hair white, buy UK used iPhone and change his Instagram name to Seunbillions.
