True, u stated DT d school is in oyo. Likewise, u also stated that it is a reputable school and that accommodation would be provided "if u want".. So, which one are the applicants to hold on to: " accommodation or no accommodation "?
Or has the school changed its mind about offering accommodation?
They (d school) have to bear it in mind DT d best man/woman for d job could be outside d vicinity of Oyo.
Tnks
What I wrote was vivid enough. There's accommodation if you want. Most people prefer not to stay in the hall of residence. They prefer to rent outside. So it's your choice. No one will force the apartment down your throat.

There's no need being defensive.
You've earlier said "accommodation is available for those who want it", later u said "If you are not in Oyo or it's environs please don't apply". There's no need for long story, you are d one contradicting urself: Its either accommodation is available or not. Anything aside this is frivolity.

There's a reason I said those who are outside Oyo need not apply.
Many people applied and when they were called for interview, they said Oyo was far. And I stated it clearly.
There's nothing suspicious here.

A general trend with most applicants these days. They'll see an advert, apply and then back out when invited for interview.

Inteviews should be flexible. Most recruiters only fix dates that are convenient for them. Many competent teachers may not be able to meet up with interview dates fixed for Monday through Friday. They would prefer weekends or holidays due to the process of securing permission from their current place of work.

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe the figures mentioned in your post. A school charging 350k and paying the teachers 30k? That sounds far-fetched. Please name the school and we can follow up. If you do not wish to drop the name here, private chat me. I'm interested in knowing the school. I run a school where the fees is from 24k - 60k and I pay more than that! Besides, I think young education graduates should form cooperative societies, rent a building from their NYSC year savings, and start their schools rather than fighting greedy proprietors over their schools.

I teach in one of the known education establishments with branches all over the country. In my branch of the school, students pay as high as over 500k in a session. The population of students is over 900. Guess what? ALL members of the teaching staff earn 60k...even MSc holders. As a matter of fact, the management said that as far as the system is concerned, upgrading your educational qualifications is for yourself and is not recognised by them. We work ROUND the year and only get two-weeks' leave in August (which isn't even definite; it could be taken away at the whim of the "Ogad at the Top"wink and one week in December...for a teaching job o. Add these to the constant threat of one's job! Do you want to know how the non-teaching staff are treated? They're asked to resign at the end of every term and reapply in the new term just so they aren't paid during the holiday.

But she's right u know. The last time i checked, no teacher was held at gun point to teach, was there?
Its a deal d teacher consciously went into, and at liberty to pull out of. The only way teachers (who know their true worth) can call their bluff is by resigning, not staying put and complaining.

You'll be surprised that in that same organization, there are some teachers waging more than what u specified. I'll use myself as a case study. I once worked in a school where only two ppl earn more than me: Principal and VP! I was earning more than all the hods in d school.
How?
When I got a mouth watering offer from another organization, I tabled the offer with the proprietress. She cut me a "private" deal whereby she tranfered extra cash to me at the end of each month to make up what d new company wanted to pay me.
