They had to make it an issue 'cause "a Mosque was demolished" according to them. Government mark and demolish buildings on lands reserved, or those found where they shouldn't be. Everything about them has to be an issue.

* Ask Zamfara, when the government demolished 14 Churches
* Ask Kano, when the government demolished ECWA Church Giginyu (the second biggest Church in Kano)

Wike is just copying from what the Northern leaders started years ago.

Interestingly the outcry is from a particular region where churches are easily victimized (attacked, burnt, demolished) while the governors look on or simply feign ignorance.

I hope this puts an end to all forms of victimization in this country.

Is there a picture anywhere on the internet showing this said mosque while it stood erect? Imagine that the governor did demolish a mosque. Are you implying that in this time of smart phones and internet, no worshiper or sympathiser would take pictures and video recordings?

I agree with your take on Nigerian politicians. The thing is, while I'm angry about the terrible state our leaders have lead us into, I'm equally careful about fanning flames of tension especially in a case that is questionable.
