3.Vocational Teachers
4.Continuing Education Specialists
Do you know that there are many Nigerians that are illiterate? It goes beyond having SSCE certificate because that has been bastardized. As a teacher you are trained to teach them, be self independent ( having acquired some teaching experience you can set up a school) and to impact the society. There are many teaching techniques many schools lack because they refused to employ an educationist. This is more reason why many lecturers can not impact knowledge on their students. They may have good grades but they lack teaching skills

if you can also check her possibility of crossing over to her desired course. Virtually all courses are relevant, it's the individual that determines how relevant it would be after all. But if she REALLY REALLY wants to do that sociology and has pictured a fulfilled future for herself in that field, she should only take the adult education as a tentative course.

asuustrike1 also puts it well.

Once she graduates, she can set up a mid-night adult education class of her own, probably make some bucks and live a fulfilled life knowing she has contributed to educating some 21st century Philistines. That way, everybody wins.

Hordes of ignorant folks out there can't read and write to save their goddamn souls and they are making things real difficult for others. We need more night school teachers in this part of the world before I lose my mind.

Heck, didn't know universities still offer that course for admission. Thought it had died. Fantastic.

Hope you and your so called cousin don't later come here after 6-7 or 8 years of joblessness to rant when you get frustrated after studying one of the most useless courses in Nigeria.
Why do you want to ruin your destiny??
