BREAKING!!! Angry Youths Set MTN Office On Fire

Following xenophobic attack in South Africa, angry youths have set MTN Office on fire in the Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital, Igbere TV has learnt.

According to report, the office had earlier been shut over widespread attacks on South African companies in the country.

Igbere TV had reported that irate protesters had attempted to vandalise the office during the day but security operatives resisted the attack.

Meanwhile, some hoodlums regrouped at night and set the office on fire.

They are losing a lot. The goods in Shoprite are owned by Shoprite. Last last a few jobs will be lost but this will hit the SA owners hard. MTN office may be franchised if it’s not their head office, but most franchises are stocked with parent company equipment and supplies.

Whatever minute amount they're losing is nothing compared to the Nigerians rendered either jobless or dead (I heard a Nigerian was shot already during protests).
And it sure isn't comparable to the lives of Nigerians who are being killed.

Sure you may say we need to do something about it, but what we are doing is like drinking poison and expecting another person to die. It is stvpid.

Check any food item for instance, like cashew nuts and check the back, it will most likely say, "Packaged in Lagos".

In fact, almost all the peanuts(groundnuts), cashews and so on are made in Nigeria.

What sellers do, is they have a contract with Shoprite to display and sell their items and probably remit a portion of their sales back to shoprite, sort of like how sellers sell on Konga and Jumia.

So if you had say popcorn that you made and packaged in your house, you could list them on the shelves of Shoprite after working out a deal with management.

Even the beef and chicken they sell are slaughtered in Nigeria as well.

What they lost is not minute. It affects what they remit to their country too. The mall is not owned by ShopRite so the owners will have to figure out how to deal with the damages. But ShopRite has lost a lot with this looting. The aim is to show that Nigerians are equally capable of savage behavior.

Oh, the double standards in the nature of man.

See how the xenophobes (SA Kettles) and the unrepentant tribalists (Nigerian pots) are struggling to outdo one another in proving who is blacker than whom...whereas all parties are guilty of hatred and jealousy within themselves.

One of the greatest folly I have seen in this realm of existence is how humans have allowed differences they made no conscious choice of to rip apart the very fiber of their existence. No one consciously decided to be a Yoruba, Ibo, Hausa, Fulani, Zulu e.t.c, but unfortunately, we have allowed these differences to empower us in destroying one another.

Xenophobia, Tribalism, Racism are merely outlets to express the deep rooted hatred and jealousy in man for his fellow man. Kindness or wickedness is a choice. Until we address the underlying causes of this nonsense (hatred and jealousy), we will keep reacting emotionally to the results (SA Xenophobia, Rwandan Genocide, Nigerian Civil war e.t.c) ...rather than the cause...which is tantamount to taking paracetamol to ease the pains of cancer.

So ironic how the guilty parties think they can live in harmony and unity in heaven, whereas they are at each other's throat here on earth.
