Nigeria can never be good if the only plan is for everyone to leave. The citizens of the countries they are running to didn't leave when it hit them. They stood up and fought the system to make it better. Hong Kong, as nice as it, has recently has her own share of uprising. The citizens challenged the status quo ante until the leaders threw in the towel. The problem with Nigeria is more of selfishness than anything else as there is no other reason why politicians numbering less than 2000 can effectively mess up and control the lives of about 200m people.

I just finished reading this content on nairametrics. The truth remains that you don't necessarily have to leave this country to make it in life. Oh and the notion that there is no good jobs around is a big lie. There are lots of good high paying jobs around. The question is, have you built yourself to land these jobs. These are not the jobs you get with your basic BSC from most Nigerian Universities.

A lot of you waste your time here being tribalistic while forgetting to add value to your self. Oh, in case you don't know, all these tribal battles most of you engage in have turned this platform to a playground. Most people looking for serious people don't come here anymore. I was talking to an HR consultant days back and she was looking for peeps to fill in some job vacancies with take-home of 500k and above monthly. I suggested she check on nairaland. She simply told me you don't see such calibre of people on nairaland. That she comes here only when she's looking for people for unserious roles like drivers, admin assistants and similar low ass jobs.

Leave nairaland and go and build yourself for the future.

Fake story!

Why does she have to determine some people's qualifications by just some post on Nairaland?

If those jobs or positions are really true why don't she advertise those positions here on Nairaland?

I am more than sure that there are some people who are highly qualified for whatever the so-called jobs is that may not be active posters on Nairaland.

Know what?

You will spend all your profit to maintain a quality life.

Do you have an idea what a quality life entails?

Except you want to be suffering and smiling to the bank.

Or dip your hands in illegitimate deals which in the long run will end you back to 0

We live in a world of skills and certifications and not university degrees. Eg, have you heard of cloud computing before now? It is a tech skill and most people in the field earn at least 500k and above. Combine tech skill with management skills and you will be a hot cake. Go acquire hardcore tech skills and certifications. There are plenty of them out there.

tribalism is what destroyed Nigeria and the only reason Nigeria will never rise to become a great nation.

I was converted to a full tribalist after seeing how other Nigerians I treat with fairness treat my own tribesmen, I became convinced that Nigeria has no future to be good, the country needs to be peacefully divided for the greater good of all Nigerians.

If Nigeria as a Yoruba only nation or Hausa only nation or Igbo only nation or Fulani only nation, they can be united to challenge the leaders to change things but Nigeria with its multiple tribes with their various selfish interest will never agree with other tribes to challenge government especially if it's their tribesmen that are in power.

Why would reasonable people leave an amazing county with beautiful weather, beautiful women and migrate to a country where you're not welcome and the weather is very naughty
I would rather remain in Nigeria and fight for my place!

I get your point. But what about a situation where acquiring certifications require a lot of funds how do we do it? I am learning skills mostly on the programming and data science angle, as well as taking courses on udemy to ensure that I can find innovative solutions to problems. But getting that dream job is just....
I just rounded up NYSC in July this year.

..and the quality of life? Do you even realise that there is noth9ng of substance your money can buy for you in that dump? You must bribe your way at every turn, buy generator, you cant even buy any car you want because there are no roads+ buying a very expensive car is an invitation for robbers and kidnappers. You have to build mega high wire fences and fence yourself in. Tell me how that is living .

3M isn't much at all. I'll rather use that 3M to move to a better country. Think about your family bruh. When we're talking about like 30M plus now, I can stay back in Nigeria, invest in big projects. And I'll only travel outside for vacation or to go have my kids so they can be nationalities of some good countries.

I don't know about you but as for me 3 millions is more than enough to make me start up a business and nurture to grow. I currently have 2 cars that I use as uber and currently trying to buy another one. Guess what ? The money I used to start was not even up to a million. The profit from the first car and my monthly salaries was what I used to buy the second and about to buy the third one.

Too be successful in life having a dream is not a enough. You must be willing to sacrifice some pleasure ble and comfortable lifestyles to succeed.

"And do not expect those who labour so much to live and keep Nigeria working to bail you out of the troubles you encounter in the foreign land"
Ask Libya returnees for their experience.
For avoidance of doubt, THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME. WORK HARD TO MAKE NIGERIA WORK WELL. STOP CUTTING CORNERS. AVOID DRUG TRAFFICKING, CORRUPTION, CULTISM AND STRIVE TO OPEN NEW LEGITIMATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR SELF AND FELLOW COUNTRY MEN.
That's the only way out of our huge population problem.
