spectroscopic:Thank you . Nigerians in SA are not different from Nigerians in UK , US or Canada. Nigerians thrive and become a dominant force wherever they find themselves, be it in Academia, professional callings, business and trading, and also in vices. Again, same can be said of Chinese, Indians, etc. The South African men suffer a horrible inferiority complex that has been with them for centuries of white domination. As typical of their psychological trauma, the men are very very mentally weak, and the women are much stronger. Non Africans have been rapping and pillaging the natural and human resources of SA for centuries. What we see in these xenophobic eruptions are the natural outbursts of very very traumatized and weak minds. Unfortunately, it is a tragic and ironic case of misplaced anger . Tragic case of self-hate and self loathing. Nigerians in SA showed the black South Africans that black Africans can establish, run and thrive in endeavours and business enterprises thought to be the exclusive reserves of whites, Chinese, Indians and Lebanese. The South Africans had been mentally programmed to accept that they were useless and incapable of establishing and running successful business and professional enterpirise, until Nigerians came in hordes to demystify that notion. But rather than be inspired and emulate the Nigeriane enterprising spirit, they stayed laid back with their false sense of entitlement. Nigerians don't carry last, and we don't wait for no one. If my brothers are still in Kano and Maiduguri thriving , despite all the xenophobic attacks over the decades, they certainly not going to leaving SA on account of lazy disgruntled MFOs. 1 Like |

Actually, some of the Nigerian people we call immigrants would be SA citizens. There Permanent residency and citizenship procedures don't appear insurmountable You and your spouse qualify for a direct permanent residence permit if you have lived in South Africa on the basis of your work permit for a minimum period of five years. Dependents of South African citizens or permanent residence permit holders can also apply. Applications for naturalisation may only be received by the office if the applicant has been on a Permanent Residence Permit for a period of five (5) years from the date of obtaining Permanent Residence (PR) in the Republic of South Africa. https://www.gov.za/services/services-foreigners/permanent-residence Obviously their immigration systems are more generous than Nigeria's. Nigeria's population is quite lesser than other countries yet we are mostly at the receiving end. I think SA is the most stupid African country for being a stooge to the whites. |
