QuotaSystem:Yea. And 100% of Igbos are in constant opposition to the North. That's why most of them campaigned and voted for Atiku...the Cameroonian. Have you ever actively campaigned for an Igbo president? Igbos have for Yar'adua, Obasanjo, Atiku, Jonathan. All are non_igbos. But somehow, IGBOS only burn bridges Heck there are Igbos who would die for Buhari. Just that majority do not like him (mutual feeling) and has nothing to do with his tribe. But of course some of you are always driving a certain narrative...like we don't know 3 Likes |

Atiku was never the North's preferred choice, the results proved it. He was even rejected in his own polling unit. That's besides the fact that many easterners supported him because of Obi. Like we don't know . UncleJudax: 1 Like |

QuotaSystem:I see how you selectively commented Even at that, you failed woefully Yea. Same way Obasanjo was the preferred candidate of the Yorubas in 1999? Or Igbos supported Yar'adu because his running mate was Onyekachi? There will always be enough warped reasons to call Igbos names. Not that folks don't know. But I am never about the presidency though. It is barely above bragging rights. But once in a while I call out people with certain toxic narrative about how Igbos can't build bridges 4 Likes |

The point seems to keep flying over your head. Even if the Igbos built third mainland bridge with the North in the past, the point is since Jonathan was defeated in 2015, they have been bitter and have successfully burnt it totally with the activities of Ipob, Nnamdi Kanu's extreme hate speech against the North (before he was contained), insults and derogatory comments + stiff opposition to PMB who is a cult figure in the North...I can go on and on and on... The point is you are unwilling to rebuild those bridges and instead continue to engage in politically self destructive behavior like the attack on Ekwemeradu. I hope you digest this properly before quoting me unnecessarily again. UncleJudax: |

The South will not sit by and allow the North 16 years uninterrupted power. That’s the SE ploy to get power but the rest of us on the South will not allow the SE put us in servitude to the North for 16 long years simply because they are acting like they are not man enough to come to fight for the no 1 seat Gandollaar: |

Gandollaar: This is why no one takes you guys seriously as far as leadership of Nigeria is concerned. A serious issue is under discussion and all you can do is regurgitate the opinion of a bipolar shcizophrenic , i.e Kanu, who comes out of nowhere to be ordering a so-called intelligent people around with asinine instructions and propagandist hallucinations. The Lifeless Sudanese is not in charge ba? Okay. Perhaps it is your Jewish lunatic Ohamumudike who is going to direct 2023 then. 1 Like |

Like I said, i couldn't care less who the next 10 presidents of the country are....na the Governors be my concern. But these false narratives, always brought forth by certain unicellular organisms like you, have to be countered. I thought we never build bridges, now we haven't built one since 2015? SamNaijaboy: Precisely. The likes of El Rufai can say what they want but the SW, in particular, will not allow the North to continue ruling Nigeria unchallenged. We know the Igbos have already given up with their claim of 'Northern population superiority' winning out but clever Nigerian know that majority of Igbos understand that their own misbehaviour now means most Nigerians, including their SS 'brothers', will be unwilling to vote an Igbo candidate against others. They have now settled for playing spoiler against Yoruba ambition but God will shame their hateful backbone. To not even wish to compete at all is the biggest show of cowardice in Nigerian politics post independence and I don't think the Igbos understand the damaging reputation they have now gained for this lack of balls they are displaying. |

TheBeat:As far as am concerned, any credible candidate that emerged from the South is who I'm gonna vote for, be it SE/SS or SW. But the most logical thing here is that if the South wanna be in power then we should consider the Norths votes too, now the question is will the northerners vote for a SE candidate? How many votes will come from that side? Even if all the Southeners vote a SE candidate, the North won't and we all know that. Well! If we'll rather let North keep ruling no wahala. That shows the level of the Southeners vulnerability. The North will never leave a northerner to vote for a southerner, especially SE, so if APC's flag bearer is from the South be sure PDP's flag bearer will come somewhere from the North. The votes will only be shared in the North if the candidate of the South is from SW. But realistically, we all know SE more than deserve to rule come 2023, but believing in the unity of Nigeria is another catalyst which a cross section of SE don't believe in. So 2023 is gonna be Soo triickish and interesting. Let's keep our fingers crossed. |

Sctests: This is why Igbos are stranded today. You all have it in your DNA to be dishonest and averse to working with facts and reality. You casually embrace propaganda, outright lies and revisionism as if second nature to you. All your claims above, as others have pointed out, are ridiculous revisions of the truth we all saw play out rather than your pathetic attempt to attribute political nous to your Igbo ethnic group. OBJ rigged out the popular Awolowo in place of the reclusive school teacher Shehu Shagari because of the expectation of the elite that Shagari would be much easier to control and would not block the attempt of the owners of Nigeria to loot our resources to the detriment of ordinary Nigerians. This is exactly what happened and if you say Igbos favoured Shagari then this is another confirmation you guys do not mean well for Nigeria. Abiola won and was cheated so there is no need to even discuss your garbage of Igbos predicting he would not be President. Once again, you claim to have supported the sidelining of Abiola, the legitimate winner, which then led to a difficult period in Nigeria's history that saw the terrible OBJ emerge by default. Igbos forever backing the worst outcome for Nigeria. We remember the Igbo convener of the one million march for the dictator Abacha. Your touted prediction of an OBJ win is also dubiously inane because project OBJ was highly monetised and backed by our rapacious elite who wanted the beginning of the new post 1999 democracy to be supervised by a "business as usual" safe pair of hands rather than stubborn and resolute men of ideas like Falae. How you predicted a Yar Adua win is beyond common sense considering Yorubas can make same claim as they voted for him to result in the PDP winning the SW. Same argument above applies for the GEJ win since he emerged winner of all States in the SW bar Osun that Ribadu won. We all even remember Yorubas spearheading the Street protest to make GEJ substantive President when the Turai and Aondoaaka cabal held GEJ prisoner with Patience relegated to making tea for Turai in Aso Rock. Overall, your garbled attempt to make Igbos appear politically savvy just reveals again that you people are simply incapable of working with facts, reality, historical truth and the incredibly basic notion of politics remaining about permanent interests. You are showing the immaturity you are known for today also and you will be defeated and shamed again. 1 Like |

UncleJudax: Another irredeemable intrinsic flaw of the Igbos on display. I.e the assumption all others must think like you or want what you do. How many Yorubas do you know to assume we are emptily and insincerely irredentist like you Igbos? Most Yorubas, like me, don't have a problem with Nigeria and we don't childishly think her break-up will be the solution to all our problems like Igbos do or like how killer xenophobes in South Africa assume jobs will come tomorrow if they execute fellow African foreigners today. We simply want the structure of Nigeria changed so everyone can be productive and progressive. Most importantly, we don't see other Nigerians as our enemies or impediments to our progress as Igbos aver. Knowing the Yorubas, do you think others will be able to stop us if we truly wanted our own nation and are completely sincere about achieving that? The truth is that you Igbos are divided, disunited and confused. This is why you do not have Biafra to date and will never have it. Other Nigerians look at you like kids because they see a section shouting Biafra while their Igbo neigbhour in Ekiti, Ogun, Oyo, Katsina, Kaduna or Kano is happy living in those States and raising his children speaking Yoruba, Hausa and fulfude. You guys are not serious and intelligent Nigerians know this about you. irredentist 1 Like |

What serious discussion should Igbos even be invited to contribute an opinion on when many of your adult men and women, because of the words of a mentally unstable individual, believe the President of the biggest black nation on Earth has been replaced by a Sudanese impostor? You Igbos sha. They really should conduct a DNA test to see if you guys carry the gene of lunacy because nothing else makes sense given what you come out with. You will claim you are Jews only for the real Jews to deny you and prove otherwise with solid DNA evidence. You will deploy propaganda and lies all day and childishly. Dagrace01:Good point but I have to disagree on North not voting SE. As Nigeria currently stands, Only APC and PDP can win presidential election in the country. The two parties should zone presidency to SE for unity sake as was done for SW and North in 2015. SE supported OBJ from SW and Yaradua from North. It's treacherous to accuse the region of burning bridges. Buhari and Yaradua are from same state and both are Muslims. If by chance SW feel they deserve it, let them not blame SE/SS if they decide to go with North. Both parties have lots of work to do. SW are claiming that they have worked hard to get the slot. What was their contribution in PDP that gave them 8 uninterrupted years as president. Bankole speaker for four years and that other woman that Tinubu helped to truncate her chance of becoming speaker when PDP zoned the position to SW. They accused GEJ of marginalizing their zone but failed to call out Tinubu for instructing his block to vote for Tambuwal against their own daughter. PDP might not be the best party but no one can accuse them of leaving any section behind. In 2015 the excuse from APC was there was no ranking Senator or house member from SE. In 2019 it changed to a new story. No key position for SE in their 8 years including service Chiefs. Like you rightly pointed out, let's keep our fingers crossed. |

TheBeat: Well you made your point. But let me try to remind you a little bit about what transpired that made OBJ and Falae the presidential candidates in 1993. People keep saying it was given to the Yorubas on a platter of gold, that’s wrong. Remember Abiola won the election and it was annulled, not that Yoruba just started shouting they should be given the presidency position, we actually won through the ballot and it got annulled. Also, it’s not true that PDP choose OBJ unopposed, infact at the 1999 Jos convention, several candidates contested against him: Dr. Alex Ekwueme Don Etiebet Philip Asiodu Jim Nwobodo So all those shouting SW was unopposed are people without knowledge of history and it can also be proven that Obasanjo won maybe due to the fact that he was from the military and also because the Northern delegates in PDP thought it was a way of compensating the SW for the wickedness of what they did to MKO. I purposely said the north compensated SW and NOT the SE, coz the SE contested against OBj in the primary election and they got no choice than to vote PDP during the election coz of party loyalty. You saying the SE should be candidates for both APC and PDP is laughable coz what is the bargaining power of the SE to lay claim to that? Did you know the NC and NE can also lay claim to the fact that they wanna be president? Was the SE ever voted through the ballot and their vote annulled to allow Nigerians to put them only on the ballot? It’s a democracy you know, government of the people, by the people, and for the people. It’s only won based on alliance and the number of PEOPLE you can muster to vote for you. Simple as ABC. |

UncleJudax: Yes I do. I don't hate Igbos and I personally like and date intelligent and beautiful Igbo women. What I detest is how Igbo historical, emotional and irrational hatred of Yorubas have turned you all into enemy-within to the detriment of the South and Nigeria in general. Even look at the Presidency issue. You lot schemed yourselves out of reckoning with overwhelming backing of Kanu/IPOB and you should own your self-destructive action. Nothing to do with us Yorubas. You gained the mistrust of other Nigerians by your own actions. We then move on to those capable of producing the 2023 President. It won't be SS because they led for close to 6 years directly before PMB and the North gained 8 years. No one will therefore return SS to power immediately after they led before the North. No one trust Igbos or wish to gamble expensively on them. Since it is between North and South the choice narrows to Yorubas or Hausa/Fulani. Whatever you think of Yorubas personally, the way we live progressively and tolerantly, above all other regions and with the world testifying to this, means everyone will benefit under the right Yoruba Presidential candidate rather than a Northerner. I think Buhari is actually the best the North can produce for a region and people totally reliant on the FG for survival and sustenance. No innovation or attempt at progressive nation-building comes from the North. The Buhari the Igbos love to hate and malign will become a hero when he leaves to be replaced by the likes of El Rufai who will not hide their bigotry and outright attempt to favour the North and Islam. El Rufai got away with Muslim-Muslim ticket. He has set a precedence and him and the likes of Kwankwaso, Tambuwal et al will do worse minus the influence of old boys like Buhari et al who still believe in fairness. El Rufai is now arguing that there is no basis for rotation just so the North can continue ruling Nigeria. What shows a bigoted and unfair mind more than that? Yet Igbos are willing to support and be used by such a vile and backward mullah and other Northerners in an age we should all be trying to seek progressive leadership of Nigeria and not a return to the sharia and taliban age they tried to frustrate OBJ with. Now, inspect the Yorubas likely to run. I.e Tinubu, Fashola, Osinbajo and Fayemi. Inspect the CV and political achievement/ideas and leaning of all those guys. Can any Nigerian truthfully say, hands-on-heart, any Northerner will do better than a bunch of progressive and tolerant men who will liberalise processes, as Northern candidates will never be allowed to do, because of the natural qualities of the Yorubas to be tolerant, progressive and about developmental politics forever best exemplified in the whole history of Nigeria by Awolowo? Whatever Igbos and Nigerians. Up to you all to self-destruct. Whatever happens, Yorubas will be okay as we plan for all outcome and can re-strategise even when we lose or are schemed out. It is others who remain ready to cut their nose to spite their face who will be the losers of their obsession with frustrating Yorubas. 1 Like |
