Mandela was a freedom fighter
Mugabe was a freedom fighter
Who amongst the two is a TRUE AFRICAN LEADER?
Who actually liberated his people and country from the control of the colonizers.
Who was a puppet and who was a true leader.
NB: No insult, just give your response with valid points and reasons.

Nigerians!!!!

Leave South Africans and Zimbabweans to discuss those two. We have tons of issues confronting our own nation. Let's discuss those.

The West have blighted this man with their lies and propaganda.

Zim land was pension for the British Army. And it wasn't measured by how far they could throw stones but how far they bothered to ride their horses on the most fertile Zim land. Then independence came, and Mug agreed they keep the land in return for funding the Zim education system which turned Zims into the most educated Africans.

When Blair came to power, he stopped that funding, so Mug said, "ok, give us our land back then". And in true fashion of the disobeyed, Britain placed on the east side of Zim a cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to force them into poverty.

I wouldn't be surprised to find more "coincidences" when history tells it's truth.

Mugabe any day, he had and took the opportunity to rid his country men of Europeans by collecting their farms, even at a cost. But it's still preferable to being a slave in your own country, Mandela on the other hand was weak Still allowed those Wankers, to keep their land, and slave their people. they even held Very high positions in his government.

You are right.

Who amongst the two is a TRUE AFRICAN LEADER?

Both and equally too.

Who actually liberated his people and country from the control of the colonizers.

Both and equally too.

Who was a puppet and who was a true leader.

None of them was a puppet and both were true Leaders in a variety of different ways.

May God give both eternal rest and Africans the fortitude to bear their loss.

May God still preserve OBJ for more of good services to Nigeria and Africa.

Well, I always wonder why people are trooping to the land enslaved by the whites while ignoring
the free land of Zimbabwe.

It is even funny that the Zimbabweans themselves are leaving freedom behind in millions to
go and enjoy oppression in SA.

Moral of the story.
The end justifies the means.

Please don't come up with the excuse of "the west". There are always losers in a conflict or contest
and the victor is not to blame.

Why didn't Zimbabwe become a paradise 17 years its after liberation by Mugabe?

Mugabe and Mandela were true freedom fighters. They only difference is that while Mandela did one term and stepped away, Mugabe wanted to become life president of Zimbabwe. Mandela was one of the few African leaders who volunteered to do a single term in office and was not swayed by the trappings of power to return. For that alone, I give it to Mandela

It wasn't a paradise, but one shouldn't expect a country owned by a foreign minority to allow it to be a paradise. Not when they are sending the wealth back home. Nigeria realised the same theft far much earlier and imposed the Nigerian Enterprises Promotion Decree way back in 72, which makes me think Zims aren't so smart after all and colonials were selling their usual lies!

Mugabe's error was allowing the silly colonial rent deal to go on too long. And when he revolted they made sure they ruined Zim in a kaka k'eju je sese sort of way.
Re: Mandela Or Mugabe:true And Independent African Leader by Endtimebro(op): 3:57pm On Sep 09, 2019
Mandela was president but the economy and power was still controlled by the white, what Mandela should have focus on was human development which would see his people come out from the effect of long term slavery and servitude. Yes apartheid was abolished but it was just on the surface.
Like their president said; the youth are ignorant of the sacrifice of other African countries (Nigeria inclusive) for South Africa which I agree with him.
If Mandela had struggle to liberate his people mentally and psychologically, we will not be talking about xenophobia.
Mugabe on the other focused on liberating his people not just on surface. Why do u think there was no revolution in Zimbabwe despite the level of literate adult (highest in Africa).
Mind you Mugabe was not ousted from power but was honourably retired (by force, subtly) because of his health and age, and of course because of Grace Mugabe's thirst for power
