What Should Be A Governor's Priority In Developing A State? by Authority1o1(op): 12:44pm On Sep 09, 2019
Since Nigeria got her independence in 1960 and became a democratic nation in 1999,the need for
Development in all ramifications and sectors became indespencible in creating a self-sufficient and working economy.

Sometimes in Nigeria, when an incumbent governor initiates a project, the citizens tend to castigate and criticize the concept as a result of their conceived perspective as to what a governor should be doing in the face of endless needs of the populace.

Gov.Dave umahi is facing serious bashing because he is currently building an airport. This is just an instance amongst other projects of other governors.

In what sector should an acting governor focus the most?

Bad roads leads to death and also contribute to insecurity.

Good roads ideally equiped with street lights will help improve security and less will be in need of medical attention.

Medicare which is an American concept can only work if workers contribute via taxation.

Security encompasses both road users security and other aspect of it.
Do you think that people only need medicare facilities only when they are involved in road accident?

Security is linked to the state you reside in. Plus the states current policy in relation to herdsmen.

There is no such thing as free health care in the world! It's paid for via taxation.

If a governor were to announce free health care the state will be bankrupt within a week.

Proactiveness, that's the word. You don't need to wait for an empire to fall to its feet before you secure it.My state does not demand the'security' that you mean .

And about the health sector which is the aforesaid medical facilities;do you think that folks who travel to developed countries for health reasons or care di so because its free?
Food for though bro.
