Ok, SouthWest states of debt.
What a shame, if only we can have this debt tru a railway inter states connection across the southwest states and economic driven companies in each westerners state, then the debt will be making sense but without any meaningful developments and infrastructures in place, it's a shame on the so called Gov.

Majority of those south western states are getting less than 50% of what some SS/SE states are getting from FG

So?
Are they suppose to get what ss states are getting
What exactly is the other sw states adding to Nigeria apart from lagos

With absolutely nothing on ground, this very sad. Nigerian politicians are just like men taking turns on a very beautiful woman, with very very little care for her well being. We focus too much at the central,I think we really should care more about our states. Our governors are ripping and rapping us so bad.

Indeed, afonjas don't have future.. I pity their next generation.

Same clowns boasting of having highest IGR in Africa.

I laughed when Aregbe was comparing Osun State with USA when he was busy justifying Osun debt when he was a governor..

Delusion! grin cheesy

I won't play your tribal card because you are obviously not cerebral.

Would you care to know that the current US debt stands $22 trillion? I can go on but it won't make a difference.

Bottom line. Don't let tribal hate cloud your judgement. You fear for the future of their generation but your livelihood still depends on the South West.

I remember 4 years ago when I was watching the Senate ministerial confirmation and Fashola made a statement to the effect that Nigerians should reorientate themselves to stop seeing debt as a bad thing.

It's only now that we are beginning to feel the evil aftereffects of this incredibly stupid mentality.

25 trillion naira debt and still climbing. Practically ALL of the advantages of the debt relief that Obasanjo and Okonjo-Iweala worked so hard to obtain for Nigeria have been obliterated by these idiots.

When Awolowo was in charge of prosecuting the Civil War, for 3 good years Nigeria successfully fought that war without borrowing a dime, salaries and wages were paid on time and we still managed to even save some money.

Meanwhile under the APC clowns many of the States under their control are owing several months backlog of unpaid salaries, yet they are heavily indebted.

Maybe Yorubas should consider borrowing a leaf from IPOB on how to treat incompetent politicians.

Ibadan and Oyo State do not need to collect loans again. Oyo State is big enough to increase Internally Generated Revenue ( IGR ) and manage the monthly allocations from Abuja. No more debts for Oyo State. Makinde should work with what he is given and bring solid investments to the State. Tax and Revenues from within Oyo State can change the economic and physical landscape of the State for good. Cheers.

Datz correct but if u check it inwardly you will discover that loads of farm products get bad before it gets to the commercial sales point because of bad road network.
No train inter states connection, no power supply to the villages via solar or gas turbines. If only they can do more on the welfare of the common individual by providing support via loan schemes for business men and women, chemicals for farm products, and flexible Government policy that will thrive development.
If they are serious and know what they are doing, southwest should have been our own Dubai.

How much of that went into Tinubu's pocket alone?

It's easy to pay pf naija's debt. Just catch some individuals who have stolen money and offer them life in prison of forfeiture. It worked with Mo Abacha.

It can work for Tinubu, Babangida, Buhari's best friend (insert Buhari), Ty Danjuma, Diezani, Rilwan Lukman next of kins etc
