The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has discovered and destroyed two hectares of cannabis farms located in Ovia North East and Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State. This was informed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Mr Buba Wakawa who is the State Commander of the Agency.

The farm which was estimated to yield 248,088kg of cannabis plants was destroyed and the NDLEA command also seized about 452.36kg of substances which were suspected to be cannabis, Tramadol and also Diazepam tablets.

He further stated to the news crew that no fewer than about 11 suspected drug traffickers including 5 males and about 6 females arrested within the period of time would be charged to court soon.

The commander also added that the issues of drug abuse were posing a major challenge to families in the state.

He said at the interview “Most youths who are hooked on drugs have become openly disobedient to parents, dropping out of school and work, and becoming liabilities to their parents.”

Much as I don't promote the use of marijuana, I suggest we start taking advantage of countries where it's been legalized and sought after.

They will probably get high from the smoke. We like to show ourselves when it comes to irrelevant matters

People who have family histories of mental instability should avoid alcohol and all recreational drugs entirely.

Indulgence in weed smoking, or certainly alcohol drinking, CAN cause insanity IF the smoker already has a predisposition to mental problems.

In other words, for most people who have no personal history of mental disturbance, organically grown weed with NO additives, is perfectly safe to consume.

Regarding this farm raid in Edo state, all weed connoisseurs do feel sadness to learn that yet more of their favorite brand, is about to be laid waste, never to be enjoyed by connoisseurs.
