You don't have the full details so how can you then argue for or against? From what I read on arla website, they will build a RUGA type farm, this including housing, hospital, school and so forth. Then source their milks locally from this settlements. Whether it will get 50k jobs or more or less is yet to be seen.
We have models of what they want to build
Creating 5k job would be a miracle

50k jobs can also include indirect jobs and its value chain. The only problem I see in this country is half baked educated citizens guided mostly by petty party sentiments.

That is not how job creation figures are estimated. The number of indirect jobs cannot have an empirical number before value is created. It is only post establishment that a projection can be made. Just like the GSM invasion in the early 2000's indirect job figures are only quantifiable now. Even the privatisation of the power sector cannot place a figure on indirect jobs now since investment is still being rolled out. Indirect job figures pre investment are no more than speculative.

You are deviating. 50k jobs will be created from a deal; wether it is direct or indirect is a different question. Even the 50k jobs should be taken as a hyperbole. I don't even see why this should be a topic.

When they call Nigerian youths lazy, its so true. Also, hate has blinded us that we dont even pay attention we just hate. Go again and read the stupid comment the guy wrote, read El Rufai's tweet then come back and read your comment.

Now, to educate you, El-rufai and the company said 50K jobs will be created... now no time frame was given. The mumu guy said the Company has only 20K folks in their work force and you are saying he is smart. What he is saying is you, for example now, with a secretary and a clerk (3 people) cannot maybe create employment for 20 people, and you are hailing him. Our Politicians are always taking us for a ride because we ourselves are uneducated, period.

According to the vice president of the company, Steen Hadsbjerg, when the milk production becomes operational, the project is expected to create 50,000 jobs with an investment portfolio of €100million.

https://www.sunnewsonline.com/50000-jobs-for-kaduna-as-danish-company-signs-mou-to-start-milk-production/

1. The statement came from the company itself, not from the governor.

2. There's a difference between will create and expected to create. Obviously, this is the company's goals and expectations, not a clear cut statement that it will create.

3. It is perfectly OK to estimate and project based on the scale of what you are trying to dom but the situation here, as usual, is our lazy Nigerian youths with little or no reading and comprehension skills up in arms over nothing, just displaying ignorance and illiteracy.

4. Bottom line, the question was based on ignorance and the question should have been channelled to the VP of the company, not the governor and of course, setting goals and expectation in business is perfectly normal.

5. The governor is not your problem and it doesn't even matter how many jobs they create, even 1 single job is 1 less unemployed person in Kaduna state.

6. We have a governor generating world-class investments in his state, but ignorant Nigerian youths with nothing going on in their own states are fighting over their own ignorance and how many jobs they are creating in another state.

7. Instead of your constant hatred and tribal obsession with other people, why not channel or send the same energy to your own states and governors to generate investments and jobs in your own states.

please kindly read the excellent submission by NGpatriot and get educated. Its not always about hate. Case in Point is when Senator Abaribe asked the CJN a question during the senate screening. Social Media was awash with Abaribe vs CJN and almost 90% of the folks did not even understand the question asked or the answer given. I asked all those on my FB page, saying the CJN - Tanko is clueless a simple question, "What was the question asked about technicalities, just explain the question to me....... None, not a single person understood the question even, Now, explain the answer Tanko gave......... same thing, no one understood anything, now, how do you substantiate your clueless claim? Hate is really killing us in this country. Now, if not for "hate" in this case, we can collectively ask the Company or El Rufai for a time frame when 50K jobs will be achieved and we hold him accountable based on that... That is how we help him and help ourselves instead of all the noise and gibberish talk.

Don't you think using time as the basis of ur logic in supporting El-Rufai's statement is lame? If we're to go that way, then every politician will tell you his state will become the highest revenue generating state and that will not be debatable since he has not given a timeframe.

Again, it is obvious that El-Rufai never said direct or indirect jobs as the person you quoted initially. Therefore it will be safe to assume he means Arla is coming to create 50,000 jobs by opening a dairy factory. Hope you know there are dairy factories owned by other coys and none of them can lay claim to a workforce of 5,000 not to talk of 50,000. There is nothing wrong with El-rufai blowing his own trumpet. The problem is overblowing it. You should be smart enough to decipher the difference between the two

You're the one who needs to read the quote very well. Logic dictates that if NGpatriot attributes the statement to Arla's VP, then El-rufai has no right to brandish is as an evidence of his own performance. If El-Rufai brandishes it rather, then it implies that the factory is being opened based on some efforts (MoU) by El-rufai, part of which is to generate 50k jobs from the terms of the MoU. This renders NGpatriot's initial assertion as invalid.

Also, since you both have no problem with El-rufai using the news as evidence of performance, it follows that the assertion should be open to scrutiny since it's been pursued with public resources which El-rufai supervises. The so-called 100m may be contributory. In that case, we should be sure we're getting value for money.

Finally, scrutinizing govt is not tantamount to hate. It is a civic duty and responsibility. Being a govt supporter is not a must. Dissidence is allowed in democracy

Some of the front page topics is really sickening and it's making matured minds to become ghost readers while it kept on attracting juveniles.

I'm not suggesting that you shouldn't update the kids forum members with their BBnaija and local artist news, but it shouldn't be frequent.

I noticed lately that whenever someone is seeking for serious advise, the kids will hijack the first page spewing all sort of rubbish. Someone can only find a meaningful opinion on page 3 and above of the topic.

Please Mods do something about this.
I thought I'm the only one that noticed the kiddies show now placed on the front page of NL. Very soon NL will be regarded as the kiddies site for information about the latest method of sagging.
