SBC has an ethnically ambiguous complexion and facial features, in that he could pass for any ethnicity with the right amount of makeup. However, inasmuch as I admire his satirical talents, I don't think he possess the acting range to convincingly portray FM. Rami Malek was the right choice, IMO.

Nah, I like espionage-themed TV series generally, but this one is just bland. For a show that was centered around espionage, there hasn't been a lot of spying going on. It's a very frustrating show. If not for the fact that I'm a finisher, I would have dumped the shitty show ages ago.

Umm, you do realize we are now living in "generation snowflake" right? A little misrepresentation or non at all from a minority group and you are done for especially when portraying a real person but i don't really think that's enough reason he was passed for the role, although you are kinda right, his acting range is quite limited, he is no Robin Williams but every actor has the possibility to be flexible, we the audience just have to stop typecasting actors and give em chances to shine in other roles

Check out "spy", he surprised me in that, i'm in the third episode, we've all known him now as a typical typecast
