At least, if a rich man abuses you, you can still run away with his money but for a man with no money, you will lose in every way.

Emotional abuse is worse than physical abuse. You can show your scars when you tell people you have been physically abused, but what do you want to show people as proof when you have been emotionally abused?

PS: When I say money should not be one's sole purpose of getting married, I don't mean you should settle for penury. I hope most people understand that, life is not words and opposite.
