The COAS once admitted he is out of ideas and can't guarantee our territorial integrity. He is still there and not sacked for incompetency.

All the war college and courses these generals attend is just to advance into the next rank. No practical knowledge to solve anything. You withdraw into a fortress and respond to attacks in areas once in your control and you claim to be winning the war on terrorism. huh

Where are the mine resistant vehicles? Even the ones donated by the US and those acquired? The more I think of the solution the more I come to the conclusion that the war on terrorism is business to some folks.

What's keeping the air wing of the NA from kicking off after the razmataz and fan fare sef.

I think the rate at which the soldiers are dying is higher than the rate people join the army.
What I see here is that the military wants to reduce casualty of their soldiers.
If you really need to win a war you attack
But it seems bokoharam are the ones always attacking

Even the 'cluesless' ex-president Jonathan would have known by now that the current COAS has run out of ideas and is overdue for removal, but something is beclouding Buhari's objectivity that only our president himself understands.
We all know its for a purpose

pmb is such an empty vessel on the skull that he's completely a dullard doesn't know the responsibilities but to think of it as he claimed, his war college training would have be of great help in term of insecurity which he don't suppose to woefully failed if he can fail other aspects leadership. I just wonder why still keeping this COAS? Change service chiefs and COAS every nine months or so and see progressive cos these people can be trusted with money. An average Nigeria man is willy to sacrifice his/her blood relations to make it big, we absolutely don't care as far the money is coming. Nigeria armed forces need total overhauling especially NA.

U people should have known by now that the next COAS ll not and ll never favor the president because of his region, religion and tribe.

I remember that Buhari's first assignment when he entered Aso Rock in 2015 was to call off all road blocks the GEJ administration had set up to curtail the free movement of those terrorists. Buhari came and made sure he facilitated their ease of movement. Now his appointee, Buratai, has pulled out the soldiers in critical areas and concentrated them as sitting ducks. Tell me how a government with this kind of mentality and approach can ever consider a decentralised structure of government when they feel everything must be micro-manged and centralised?

Zombies una well done for electing and legitimising terrorism. Just a means of sucking the resources of the South in the name of fighting a deliberately sponsored and approved war which was and is 100% avoidable. God punish all of una dia!

Exactly!! This is propaganda..the army is retreating

You only retreat and restrategize behind the front line only when facing defeat

This is a retreat ..branding it pull back to supercamp is mere propaganda and semantics

Cheers

“... Boko Haram is using the shooting range and worshipping at the mosque and moving freely in that axis because of the withdrawal of the troops.”

You see why we said Northern leaders, citizens, Imams and others are all supporting this Boko haram. Boko haram will come to a mosque and be worshiping with people they always butcher. The Imam and his ‘congregation’ will cheer them up for worshiping with them. 3 months later, same Boko haram will come to the mosque and butcher all of them and you expect me to say RIPhuh
you are right and only am Igbo man as chief of army forces can defeat boko haram, Ihejirika did it they complain of genocide give it to ibos they will do it well.

THE NIGERIAN MILITARY HAS COMPRISED THE WAR BY ALL STANDARDS, QUITE UNFORTUNATE , BY THE TIME THE WAR ENDS THEY WILL BE REDUNDANT, MAKING MONEY AT EXPENSE OF PEOPLE'S LIFE

After talking to various sources, why go ahead and publish this story without accepting the military's invitation for an on the ground assessment? Would that not have made for a more complete piece?

Sophisticated Air support and equipment is the only way the military can win this.
Not the usual cloak and dagger guerilla warfare these insurgents have mastered, they need to change tactics and invest in surveillance, drop napalm bombs in sambisa forest angry and incinerate the habitat.
Exactly what am abt saying, go to u tube and watch how drones and apache helicopter are taking our insurgents, 24hr on air monitoring, how they lay landmines etc

Naija doesn't have the capacity and army officials to fight this war, seems like they're using the old method of shoot me i shoot you back.

It disgusts me when people make irrational comments...

Instead of praying, encouraging, or advising_____ they make statements to show they’re indifferent...

Well, if the soldiers fail_ it’s only a matter of time, BOKO HARAM WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE!!!

if it’s cos you’re not in Nigeria, be patient _ shebi they’ve joined hands with ISIS_ YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED!!!

But its a wrong move anyway.
I was thinking the soldier would pick a D day and attack with everything they have got from all angles on land,on air and on water together with all security forces around the border without going back or retreating

This article is redundant. Boko Haram has been technically defeated.

The Super Camp idea seems to my, albeit untrained eyes, like a holding mechanism; a vivid metaphor would be a Dam across a river in which global warming guarantees an ever increasing water flow. Eventually the Dam will fail. Think of the Neighbouring nations as if feeder river channels.
