I have always heard that MERIDIAN HOSPITAL PORT HARCOURT is the best hospital in port harcourt in terms of service delivery and it was confirmed on saturday. while seated in the reception, a good samaritian rushed in an accident victim and in splits of seconds, I saw a complete team of doctors and nurses rushing to the emergency room to salvage the situation. I was highly suprised because unlike the typical Nigerian hospital, there was no mention of registration or deposit before care can be given, the team were on their toes attending to the emergency even without knowing the name of the patient. In my curiosity, I approached the receptionist who explained that their POLICY STATEMENT is:

THAT NONE SHALL DIE WHO SHOULD
LIVE BECAUSE OF MONEY.
IT WILL NEVER BE LATE TO DISCUSS MONEY
BUT IT CAN BE LATE TO SAVE A LIFE.


I left having faith in Nigeria again, indeed MERIDIAN HOSPITAL PORT HARCOURT is equal to none.
