ednut1:Not necessarily. Stanbic gives 6.2% for accounts 100k & above. 4.2% below 100k. Paid out monthly. But their mutual money funds is a wiser option if you have plenty money you're not using. |

6% is high interest rate? Where men dey get 17-19% on Fixed Deposits?Please look beyond tier-1 and tier-2 banks o, else inflation (currently 11%) will swallow up everything you've ever worked for. Ordinary OPay (PAYCOM) pays 10% per annum so why would any individual lock up funds with Diamond at 4%? That's pure m.adness. My savings account with a Microfinance bank is compounded monthly at 15% annual interest rate. |

ednut1:It's not great. Not bad either. It's good to know that when you leave money in your account for a certain period, it won't decrease. Imagine having a balance of N1m that you didn't touch for one year due to good cash flow, and then seeing an additional N60k+ interest added untop. It's not bad. |
