I remember when R-Kelly was acquitted and his case dismissed over a decade ago for child pornography, his brother, Kerry Kelly, called him on the phone and told him. "Hey man...GOD has given u another chance". The singer's response according to his brother during an interview was; "No....GOD didn't give me another chance. My money gave me another chance". Since over a decade after his acquittal, R-kelly never learnt. He never changed. He took the fact that the judgement was in his favour for granted. He continued his profligate and salacious act of sleeping with under-aged girls. He forgot it was only a matter of time before his actions would catch up with him big time. So here we are. From 3 time Grammy Award winner to wearing prison overalls. As much as I feel justice should take its course, my heart still bleeds for this legend. My heart bleeds to see what this guy has been reduced to. He has been reduced to a defeated and despondent figure. Helpless and hopeless! R Kelly was inarguably the BEST R&B recording artiste of all times! I have never known brilliant lyrics and melodic sounds such as R-Kellys'. I still remember his greatest hit of all times that shook the world. "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY". - I remember another smashing hit. "IF I COULD TURN" - I remember "DANCE IN THE NAME OF LOVE". I remember all. Up till this moment, they still resonate in my head. Till now, they still serenade my senses. R-Kelly's songs were that....all that and all of that. He was a solid master of his craft. A Virtuoso of the Mic. He does no wrong when he hits the stage. He was lord of that stage. You couldn't contend. Now he's paying for his choice of life. If life doesn't teach you anything, let it teach you to acknowledge the Grace and Mercy of GOD. Let it teach you to learn from your mistakes when you're being given a second chance. I Feel Like Crying When I Saw Him Humilated. Oh How The Mighty Fallen. I Remember In My Days In Secondary School, I Used To Copy The Lyrics Of Lucky Dube And That Of R. Kelly. He Is The Best Artist Of His Time. Best Songwriter. He Wrote For Most Of The Artists Of His Time. How I Wish God Will Also Arrest him In The Jail And Use Him As An Instrument For HIS Praise. I’m an R.Kelly super fan. I listen to his songs daily. However, I have to be honest, he had it coming. Sex slavery, statutory rape? Smh. He must have thought he was untouchable. I feel sad how story has gone this way, but I have to console myself with playing his songs back-to-back. I feel like slapping his head for depriving us of such good music. I'm not just ordinary fan of R-kelly. R-kelly is my mentor and I can proudly say that anywhere. I decided to settle down after I read hes book Soulacousta(Diary of me) in 2012. R kelly specially addressed the sex allegation in hes book and the way he's lawyer then asked him not to release Ignition because it kinda sex explicit songs hes was accused and on trial for. But R kelly always say he write-sing about life. So is sex not part of our daily life activities. He said in book then that he went against hes Lawyer advised to release ignition because he was convinced he never did those things and afterward he was acquitted in 2008. Here we are again same old same old. But you know what struck me most. What hes new lawyer says after hes recent arrest. He said this Man would have been long gone(left the USA) if he actually did all of these things. We all know the implications. What OP posting out here is what RK say to gayle king. That after all hes been through that people still believe he can still hold girls against their will and sleep with underage. The previous trial run from 2003-2008. He's both girlfriends were there in New York to support him when he was brought to court and they did told the world about their relationship with RK. R kelly problem is Aaliyah-they were both young then. Hes wife who cant support him against all old. This is a girl he marry from gutter. He said everything in hes book and admitted he cheated on her and regretted hes actions. But today Andrea joined the media against her husband to produced surviving R kelly. But guess what. R-kelly love is in our heart and God has used him to inspired-motivate many people around the world. An unknown fan (woman) paid for hes last bail bond. Most of ya'll don't know the Man r-kelly. The most of RK fans mostly know him by hes music and from media. What's going with R-kelly right now is still a media trials and those charges against him were decade long allegation of old same he was acquitted from in 2008. and that is what hes lawyer keep saying all time and the evidence and people who are said to have involved are unkwown-with no names. Imagine the charged in MN for prostitution after a girl say she collected $200 from him at hotel and she did say he didnt have sex with him when she visit him. So we are patiently waiting of the proper court trial to begin so the prosecutors can present the evidence apart from the olds one we all know before. It pained to see RK tossed around again in prison uniform and being denied bail but such is life. This isn't different from Michael Jackson child molestation case.
