Arsene Wenger will take up a job at FIFA in the coming weeks, as he continues to wait for an offer from a club with a project which interests him, sources have told ESPN FC.

The Frenchman, who turns 70 next month, will join FIFA in a technical role. The role has not yet been completely defined, but it will be a very important one where his voice will be heard and opinions respected.

While Wenger is excited to help football improve through FIFA, sources have told ESPN FC his priority remains finding a job in club football soon.

As much as he was ready for the challenge at FIFA, he is also eager to get back to full management, whether at a club or a national team.

Wenger left Arsenal in the summer of 2018 after 22 years at the club. Since then, he has had opportunities to get back in the game but none that fully satisfied him.

While waiting for the right job, he has worked as a pundit on television. He has been travelling a lot while still living in London.

Wenger still believes that he can improve any team and win trophies in any league. He has watched a lot of matches and met a lot of players, managers and ex-players in the last two years.

I'd take Arsene Wenger back any time over this clueless Unai Emery who in over a year still doesn't have a starting XI or playing tactics and always making weird subs.

Stubborn goat.

If Wenger had the quality of players Unai has in his last few years as Arsenal manager, we wouldn't be facing ridiculous shots and bottling a 2-0 lead against bottom sides like Watford!

Though he never tasted UCL, this man is among the top three most respected managers in the game for his personality and intelligent contribution to football while a manager.
Arsene Wenger predicted this madness of transfer fees skyrocketing years ago, now it's happening, Wenger was always among the top people to disagree and contemplate creating a league for elite teams instead of the UCL.
Always outspoken against corruption.
He's exactly what FIFA needs.

What a perfect opportunity for Wenger to retire in football's topmost organization with the dignity he deserves, perhaps even gun for a top position in FIFA. But no, he still wants to be arguing with linesmen over throw-ins and booed by fans when his team draws from 3-0 up. In life it's the thing we love that kills us and also defines us.

He was disgraced out of his former job with all the trenchant success he nearly had. He'd go into oblivion unless he gets to that political part of FIFA, very difficult if i will say. To me, joining FIFA is so risible. A Coaching job gives him more time to redeem his image.

Please come to Barcelona.

God forbid bad thing....

As Valverde poor reach, he still dey give us la Liga crown which makes him better than a man that has strong affinity with 4th position and below....

No serious club will hire Wenger. Only a small clout chasing visionless club with no sense of plans and purpose for the future hoping to reap from the man's jagajaga reputation angry

Sirmuel1:

Wenger better pass Valverde. With a good squad, Wenger might go far

With a better squad, Wenger will still be chasing champions league qualification...

Wenger and Mourinho time don pass

2 EPL + 1 Golden EPL (The only manager to win an actual Gold league trophy) 7 FA cups, 7 community shields(Though not really a big deal) those are at Arsenal alone, his achievements in the French league ain't among.

Hermione stick to magic potions and Harry Potter, leave the football for men
