Are you saying that I who has no single economic contribution or do not pay any tax to Plateau state government should shush a Yoruba man who invests and pay his taxes to Plateau state when he criticizes the state government?

The gbagyis of FCT lost their ancestral lands for you and I to enjoy the modern amenities of Abuja. Infact, migrants from all over Nigeria including your yoruba people are now turning Gbagyi villages and towns to overpopulated slums just because they cannot afford the costliness of main Abuja and choose to live in the neighbouring villages. At least the Yoruba controlled government of Lagos state enjoys the taxes of every migrant, do the gbagyis enjoy any state tax in Abuja? Hell no.

Years back, they distressed our ears with 'mega city". After a lot of them traveled out and saw what mega cities looked like, the acronym was abandoned.
Lagos is s big mess. Cursed by myopic and selfish leaders.
You can't access anywhere in lagos without hitch. I mean, no single place. From Lekki to the Airport should be an hour or less drive but you would be lucky to escape it in 4 hours. From Iyana ipaja to Oshodi is as chaotic as hell can be. From Ojota to Oshodi, a journey of less than 20 minutes can take you between 1: 30 mins to 2 Hours.
From Apapa to any place in Lagos is the worst experience you wouldn't like to go through.
Those living at Okoko, Badadgry ,Eba, Alaba are now under a perpetual calamity. Their level of suffering depends on their destination.
Those living around ejigbo, igondo etc, your case is forgotten.
The citizens didn't help matters. Lagosians are known to hype and glorify their myopic governors even when it was obvious the governors are working against the citizens.
Some of the roads that were accessible under fashola administration have been blocked and abandoned by contractors that worked for Ambode administration.
Going by the look of things, the present administration, who spent her 100 days in office denying her campaign promises, has nothing to offer to Lagosians.
So the worst days are coming �.

Ever since Ambode bounced development has been put on hold other things attended to by this govt is minor, this is what you collected 10k and one cup of rice for enjoy it while it last

Lagos was privileged to be the base of the Colonial Masters during colonial rule. Lagos was privileged to be the Capital of Nigeria for decades during Military rule. Both the Colonial masters and Past Military Head of States invested heavily in Lagos in terms of infrastructures more than other states. Lagos is privileged to have the Organised Private Sector (particularly Multinational Companies), investing in infrastructures in most part of Lagos - especially on the Island. Other States did not enjoy these privileges, which are prerequisites for development except for Abuja. Funny thing is Lagos is the smallest of all the states in Nigeria (in land size) but it generates the most Revenue. 80% of the major roads and bridges you see in Lagos today were built either during the colonial era or Military regime. About 2 decades into this present civilian rule since 1999, despite all the huge revenue from IGR and federal allocation, Lagos is still a glorified slum.

We live like pigs in Lagos.

If Lagos is cursed then 95% of Nigerian states are cursed, bewitched and zombified...lol. The problem here is that the government is too big and the population is too large for such a small geographical area. It's the same problem cities like New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta face on the daily. In LA, if you're not careful you can spend 5 hours or more in traffic, even with all the advancement and oversabi citizens, traffic jam is their curse, homeless people full their streets and taxes, omg taxes, let's just say yearly taxes can send people back to their villages if not careful. The point is simple, despite falling short of our expectations, LAgos still remains one of few states in Nigeria that actually represents the hope of the people. States like Ogun/Osun/Ekiti, many states in the East and majority of the North can only dream of emulating.

It was a 20mins drive on map, 1.5hours I was still in the Bus, so what are you talking.

Back then when I do frequent the US, I do bunk in New Jersey, each that we zoom to New York, it was he'll and chaotic, another pile of trash regarding traffic, I worked in joburg and Pretoria in 2015/2016, while Pretoria was a darling, I go dey look my office for Sandton for front like this, yet I am stuck for 20-30mins, all cause of traffic....this thing are normal in mega cities, go ask about Tokoyo, Shanghai,Mumbai, or even Nairobi.

If you wanna beef, beef with facts, I don't like any politician, they are all thieves, but Lagos has had back to back government that have defined governance in Nigeria....biko mention another state with governance like Lagos over 3 governors , not just a flash in the pan like Donald Duke.
