CAN hails El-Rufai’s decision to save 110-year Kaduna Church from demolition

The Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria has commended the Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s government’s decision to save the 110-year St. George Anglican Church, Zaria from demolition.

The CAN Chairman in the State, Rev. Joseph Hayab made this known to our correspondent on the telephone following Friday’s clarification by the Director General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency, Ismail Dikko that the Church won’t be touched because of its historical value.

Are you practicing witchcraft that you are only happy when there is crisis in the country?

Reminds me of what the military governments used to do:sentence some people to death for mere rumors of plotting a coup.
Then traditional rulers, influential people go abegging;thereafter the sentences are commuted to life or long prison terms and there follows nationwide publications,tv reportage of how the government was the best,the most benevolent and listening in the annals of Nigeria and how the Head of state at the time was the best ruler the country has had.
Meanwhile the original aim of taking out some officers from service had been achieved,with an added PR to go with it.
How a bigot like El-Rufai can play on the intelligence of supposedly highly intelligent servants of God and of the Church is baffling.

Cause the problem and offer the solution
