The Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria has commended the Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s government’s decision to save the 110-year St. George Anglican Church, Zaria from demolition.

The CAN Chairman in the State, Rev. Joseph Hayab made this known to our correspondent on the telephone following Friday’s clarification by the Director General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency, Ismail Dikko that the Church won’t be touched because of its historical value.

It's a failure of the CAN leadership. True leadership entails:

Ask for which authorization the demolition team has.
Question their powers.
Institute a case in court.
Rally public opinion.

Sooner or later, if the hypocrite's gimmicks are not yielding him needed results, he will either remove the velvet gloves or backtrack. If he backtracks, he'd have learnt his lesson.

If he doesn't, then gather the Christian community and stage a peaceful protest, barricading entry into the premises by the demolition team.

Get media coverage of the event. It will be necessary to have it recorded as evidence of the midget's bigotry.

He will backtrack then, for sure. And no one will ever threaten demolition of a century old historic site again, in Kaduna or elsewhere in Nigeria.
