The Yorubas have made their points clear on the issue of some mythical southern political unified front since the dawn of independence.

I don't know why all of a sudden some people are talking southern unity alliance between the SS, SE and SW in response to anti Fulani colonies.

To put it clearly, only the Ondo state govt and a faction of Afenifere has rejected Fulani colonies.

For every anti Ruga post by a Yoruba here on NL, there are similarly 10 pro Ruga Yorubas trying to foist this Ruga nonsense on the polity.

It would have been nice to see these pro Ruga Yorubas champion the opening of Fulani colonies in their land rather their line of reasoning has always to foist this folly on others.

Now, there exist some fringe Yorubas posting here who categorically are against Buhari's Ruga initiative - but they remain an insignificant minority.

While leadership is an exclusive minority project, can we count on these sane voices in getting the major pro Ruga Yorubas to reject Ruga policy? And if so, how can such populace be guaranteed not to larp-up another Fulanization strategic move without resorting to self reasoning?

As things stand, the Yoruba populace is in total dissaray in terms of leadership and collective stance in having a holistic outlook and pragmatic solution in effecting a checkmate on this brazen fulani land grabbing conquest.

Their myopic disposition can only be excused as a symptom of their slavish disposition to the north over some religious affiliation and outright hatred for us across the Niger.

Benue and Taraba acted independently during the Fulani invasion and used the anti open grazing legislation to systematically castrate the Fulani invasion.
All states in the better south can learn from the decisive leadership both governors of the hitherto mentioned state used which was birthed out of self-help.

We don't need an alliance with the southwest to check fulani land grabbing.

If the SW is still pandering on both sides of the issue and debating and pushing for fulani colonies, I think it is a clear pointer that any alliance in whatever form or time will be totally disastrous to the fragile peace we enjoy above other regions in Buhari's Nigeria.

The SW has chosen to be part of Sokoto. Any alliance with them will be foolishness as it would be better to negotiate directly with same Sokoto in a Political alliance than with their lackeys.
