FG Handovers Ibadan Inland Dry Port To Oyo State Government - Photos

Just as Kaduna dry inland port, the city of Ibadan is yet to get its own Ibadan Inland Dry Port as the federal government officially did the handover ceremony to the Oyo State Government. Those in attendance are the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Moses Alake Adeyemo, The Executive Governor of Oyo State. Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, Honorable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Executive Secretary/CEO Nigeria Shippers Council, Hassan Bello during the Handover Ceremony of the Ibadan Inland Dry port (IIDP) Exchange of Letters at Oyo State Governor’s office, Ibadan on Tuesday 21st May 2019.

every community they have unions and these unions are tools for embezzlement. though highly intelligent people but their lack of progressive sense ruined their chances of survival.

it takes the igbos yet again to develop these places. they have igbo market there. in the meat market you find igbos too.
the igbos have taken over benin. benin fell to igbos a long time ago. while the stupid benin people are looking out to make money, the igbos looked within to make millions. they control the market.

the problem is that the igbos out of greed gain domestic opportunities but lose their father-homes in return hahaha. the second generation of their children despise the igbo land cos the culture of the place in which they grow are ingrained in them.

many igbos are lost in the north, the west and in the south. not talking of the ones who live abroad.

A dry port is to be built in the south east also. It is situated around Obollo-afor in enugu state. I will try and snap a picture of it when next i pass through that axis.

Since the handing over of Oyo Dry Port to the Oyo State Government, little has been heard of this project. The project which costs about 35 billion naira has been rested for a while maybe this is due to change in power, we can't really say. The Oyo Dry Port was meant to be an inland port where all containers will be loaded thereby relieving the Lagos port which has become too full due to containers from owners

Oyo State Gov., Engr Seyi Makinde decided to see things for himself by inspecting the ongoing construction at this site. It will interest you to note that this place has been left untouched since the past administration. This place was handed to former gov., Ajimobi who signed on behalf of the state government and Mr Rotimi Ameachi who signed for the federal government respectively.

Oyo state should make use of Lagos seaport, Ondo port and that of Ogun state.

I am wondering why Oyo state is wasting scarce resource to establish a dry port copying that of Kaduna state.

Let's wait and see. We shouldn't give him too much credit at the moment. This is how Ajimobi was praised when he was in power. Let's wait! You should always remember one thing, it's still the same civil servants that worked under Ajimobi's government he's working with. If he doesn't restructure the entire state service, he will fail! I'm not praying for him to fail but I am tired of seeing the same people in the previous government working for him.
