They're not outraged because there is no mention of Fatoyinbo or COZA... Or Pastor or Church.....

That's why

I am outraged o but as the saying goes ,you cant be crying more than the bereaved.The real question here is "are northerners outraged?"

The northerners know about this and are not ready to change it. The guardians of the said children have come out to support the so called "torture den" and even said their children as young as 5 were drug addicts.

One big difference about the south and north is that we dont protect criminals but northerners are the very opposite. The northerners have come out to say it is a legal islamic school. Infact you will be shocked at how many more of such schools are spread over the north ,their governors ,northern elites know this. Don't be surprised the northern elites might even be bank rolling this torture dens. Almagiri system is a culture of the north, and northern leaders dont want it to end and that is a fact.

So when dealing with issues relating to the north ,one has to be very careful before they tag you a blasphemous infidel trying to destroy the teachings of their great prophet.

My question is what will El rufai do about it?

What is outraging is being addressed as a secular state but Sharia laws and setting being prevalent in the upper Norths. People's livelihood being destroyed in the name of sharia law is not outraging abi?

The system we have is such that you are taught from an early age not to think for yourself. Even when you see something that is wrong, wait for the "responsible authority" to process the information and "programme" you on how best to act.
Have you not read that the Zamfara state government is investigating how pages of the Islamic Holy book got drained in the sewage yet many murder cases and fun misappropriation are left investigated.

There are hundreds of such "schools" scattered across Nigeria, the only reason why they get away doing these heinous things is because parents, guardians subscribe to it and neighbors simply mind their business, not bothering to report anything to the police!

There's something like this in Ibadan. There was time my stubborn friend was registered there, the guy almost run mad because of the kind of treatment they receive there. He memorized the entire Quran in less than six months because if not he's dead. After been freed, the guy later became harder criminal and he'll always say " na there I take get mind"

May God bless us because I think poverty is one of the things that reduces our thinking capacity. How can a parent register their ward in such a deadly place.

It's so sad. I remembered how some months ago Nigerians were vocal over some Pastor and a lady over rape issues.. Even though the rape was not substantiated, Some angry Nigerians went as far as demonstrating in front of the church of the Accused..

A lot of people were sitting on the fence due to lack of evidence. But those that didn't say anything were still happy that at least this kind of thing is now being talked about.. That the citizens are now awake and can finally express their happiness and also register their displeasure as well to make Nigeria a better place..

But It was so sad to realise that those strong vocal opinions on the Internet was just once in a blue moon and it's done only when it concerns the elite in the society... Meaning that the poor and the voiceless ones should be used to what was happening to them.. how I wish that it was also extended to the poor in terms of fighting their plight in the society.

when my people were being killed and murdered in cold blood, both the Westerners and northerners applauded it, now you want me to come and protest for kids whose parents can barely feed them yet as am typing this are already on bed pumping away to generate more kids. at the end of it all, these kids will grow up to loot and kill my people living amongst them at the slightest provocation. didn't you hear the parents, that they are okay with it and that ends it. and worst is, one okoko will sit behind his key board to call for protest but he will be indoors enjoying the amusement show

Its because there’s no celebrity talking abt it. People tend to model celebrity reactions in society. They are very powerful set of pple dt effortlessly influence pple through the media.
American celebrities know this well and use it all the time to promote their individual causes.
