They can hold a protest to 'free Tacha' but they cannot hold a protest against bad governance. The yeyebrities among them can donate millions to people whose only contribution to society is displaying the sensitive and private parts of their anatomy to the viewing public, but cannot donate to health, education and infrastructural development. Let me not even go too far- right here on Nairaland there is even a thread dedicated to discussing the useless and meaningless antics of adults locked up in a house, and that thread has several hundred pages, but none to discuss societal issues and challenges with a view to mapping out a plan to tackle these issues.

This is why we will keep having hopeless, satanic, thieving people ruling us because we lack vision and our moral compasses are almost irreversibly broken. I gave up on Nigeria a long time ago.

Nobody wants to get involved with another man's problems again. That's the sad reality.

Deji Adeyanju don tire.

TuFace got tired before he even began.

Nnamdi Kanu has retired with his family to a foreign land.

Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky don tire. I expect him to relocate to Iran.

Sowore is still in prison, and no one has obeyed the court order. Most definitely, he would retire as soon as he's released. He's learnt that Nigerians are not worth fighting for.

Even Boko boys don retire.

Look, as far as Nigeria is concerned, it is all man (or tribe or religion) to himself. There is so much disunity in the land. You want an Igbo man from Anambra to close his shop and protest over issues in Kaduna? Shey Kaduna people support IPOB or Biafra?

Fulani herdsmen killed and killed, Nigerians shouted and shouted in return, but to what end? Shey herdsmen have been convicted??

You want CAN chairman to call for a protest against an Islamic school as per wetin? MURIC spokesman?

A Pastor was allegedly involved in a rape scandal, Nigerians protested but to what end? The pastor still Ministered yesterday, and his supporters tried to silence the victim.

It's been over a year and Evans, the celebrity kidnapper, is still not in prison.

Truth is, Nigerians are tired. And this isn't even because of TACHA. Tacha was still in the house when Nigerians protested against xenophobia. Although majority protested behind their screen as usual. The few on the street acted because of their desire to loot and steal from their fellow countrymen. Nigerians will usually not act unless there is something to loot. That's the sad reality.

It is indeed a very worrying development, what beats my imagination is the way some parents who enrolled their wards in that Islamic school defended the teaching methods and denied all alleged sexual exploitations, other members of the community found nothing wrong with the goings on in the center. It is very difficult to free a people who find slavery as normal, it beats my imagination how a parent who barely fed well while single, decides to have 15 children with no viable source of income. This is a cultural problem, our society places a lot of importance on having alot of children, no one cares if these children are given a decent upbringing, nothern Nigeria is a ticking time bomb, especially with the almajiri system currently practiced. I find it really disgusting when Northern elites and billionaires are very ready to fund an Islamic Quranic centre and a mosque but will act dumb and unaware of the almajiri system and abject poverty in their land. TERRIBLE.

Bros, what has Deji and Sowore achieved through their series of protests? Have you ever participate in one protest before? Look at how DSS is flying up and down seeking whom to devour, na em you want the struggling and the most suffering people to protest, against what exactly? Sowore's wife and children dey abroad, Where are Deji's family members? They keep calling us lazy and hopeless youths, but whenever a youth comes out for a position, they start threatening his generation, which we all know. These men are into one cult or the other, seeking whom to sacrifice to their gods and you want a youth that has parents to take care of to be the Scape goat? Make una leave us alone oooo.

Ministry of women affairs shoukd use them to set an example.

Ivite every parent with wards in the school for interogation.Any parent very vocal or timid in their support for the institution should get 6 months in jail woth hard labour for child endangerment

The ward should be taken from their care.

If they could arrest the woman who locked a child in the dog cage, caregivers who beat their househelps and parents who scared their chikdren .why should these ones be spared?

We cant have a different set of rules for the North. This is not about religion. Its about how we MUST protect children... Children are the future of our land.Bastards must not ruin their innocence for selfish wicked reasons. This is our moral duty as a people.Every one with the power to address this that fails to do so will stand in judgement for it one day

this is the result of believing every and anything that has to do with religion.
religion has been use to brainwash so many individuals in our society and the world at large, just imagine the barbaric things being meted out to fellow humans like me, it's inhumane, disgusting.
funny is the fact that out government will sweep it under the carpet.
look around the most successful and advanced countries of the world don't place religion as the number one priority but their fellow humans and their human rights.........

How do you liberate those who do not want to be liberated ? Trust me,an average northerner does not see anything wrong with the horrific treatment those guys were subjected to. It is part of their learning culture over there!

The all knowing ACF will never issue any statement on an unfortunate and highly embarrassing incident like this one. What of their youth wing ? Those ones can only bark like mad dogs in defense of RUGA or herdsmen. Their useless region has successfully painted Nigeria as a diseased, backward, uneducated, poor, dirty and primitive country where killings and terrorism thrives

When the majority victims of almajirism are tired of that highly retrogressive and slavery system, they will revolt against their oppressors without being influenced by anybody. Northerners are not the only Muslims in the world. They should stop giving Islam a bad name.

You don't give up on a project you are intricately connected to. A project that you are irreversibly a part of. A project that affects you just the same, whether you are active or passive. A project that runs through your veins by virtue of you being a Nigerian..You instead find every means possible to make it work, even in your own little way. All these talk of giving up on motherland Nigeria makes me sick...if the Chinese with over a billion people and poverty as high as the skies didn't give up until they developed, why the hell should we... Happy independence day in advance..

I now understand that it is jealousy from not understanding and/or not being able to pay to watch BBNaija that has people castigating its viewers. Lol. This is a case of a disabled child cursing able bodied ones for engaging in athletic activities. Poverty mentality is too rife in this forum. I wonder how most of you get data. It is not much of a mystery because I see some users complain of network cheats not being available.

This does not happen in saudi qatar and the rest. How does child abandonment and child tortue represent the religion?

Meanwhile if 300 children where found there thats 300 families in just 1 LGA.The matter is an epidemic, all pretence should stop

the funny thing about those Quranic centers is that no matter how religious those elites are, their children would never attend them. They instead send their children to receive the best of education abroad. When these kids return from their educational tourism, they are placed in very high positions in the private and public sectors and they end up as next generation politicians...hmmm!!!!

Have they demonstrated in the immediate environment in Kaduna? Outrage starts from a point. It sounds over sabi for a group in Lagos to be outraged on behalf of Kaduna. I even read some parents saying it is exaggerated and they have kids there. Will you go and start that kind of fight?

Finally, there is a religious coloration to it and you know how sensitive that is. If people start dem go say Christians are protesting against Islam. When the affected Muslims hit the streets in anger, Christians will join in. As much as I don't follow BBN, it's easier to start a protest for Tacha than this. That school has been there for years and there could be more.

There's something like this in Ibadan. There was time my stubborn friend was registered there, the guy almost run mad because of the kind of treatment they receive there. He memorized the entire Quran in less than six months because if not he's dead. After been freed, the guy later became harder criminal and he'll always say " na there I take get mind"

May God bless us because I think poverty is one of the things that reduces our thinking capacity. How can a parent register their ward in such a deadly place.

And mind you, they always sign that no case if the ward died on their watch.
At the bolded, are you sure any sane parent will sign this on his child's behalf, when he/she isn't putting up for military engagement or signing up for a major operation?

When you guys mention Poverty, it as if you think people wake up in the morning, enter bus and willingly travel to poverty destination.
Look, people do not get poor willingly or out of their own choosing. IT JUST HAPPENS and it is extremely DIFFICULT to get out of.

If Bill Gates, the founder and owner of Microsoft, one of the Richest Men in the world, came to Nigeria to do that his Microsoft runs,
do you think he will be the richest man in the world?
When he writes software code, Nigerian boys will just copy and paste the thing. He can never dominate the technology market, over here as he did it in America.
Piracy of software and music has stolen many people's wealth.
In America, such activates and under legally punishable. Hence Bill Gates wrote his software, NOBODY pirated it, and everybody gave him money to become rich. That just cannot happen in Nigeria here.

We have misplaced priorities

When we start placing our priorities right and going after them, Nigeria will become a better place but until then it's a shiiithole country

I rest my case
Our traditions need to be Christianised. Just as the Europeans did theirs.
Right now, we claim to be Christian and still practicing village tradition.
Now that such human rights violation has happened, you can see that nobody is a Christian. All have allowed such evil to continue.
Hence the silence.
