I believe that I have stated that the new birth experience is different from the sanctification experience that Jesus prayed for unless you don't take cognisance of what other posters have said.

The Word of God was and still is a cleansing agent, necessary for the instantaneous (at new birth- 1Pet 1:23, Eph 5:25-26, Titus 3:5) and continuous (by the Holy Spirit 1Thes 5:23, 2Cor 3:18) sanctification of the church in preparation for His appearing.

It is an heretical teaching that Jesus had to be born again.  Why should He be born again, is it because He was a sinner?

It is heretical to teach otherwise.
Nobody said he was a sinner. He was born without sin and never sinned.
However, He was made sin for us. There is a whole world of difference between being a sinner and being made sin.

Jesus was the first to be born from among the dead, and we came right after Him.
All the saints of old waited for this same  Jesus- the perfecter of their salvation. And when He arose, they arose with Him, glory!

Jesus put off His Omniscience before He stepped into time and had to learn by experience as a man.  It did not mean that He sinned or was not perfect spiritually.  Physically He was weak as all men.

Jesus is king of kings and Lord of Lords. He is the mighty man  in battle; The Lord of Glory. He is cool and doesn't need your help. You cant take away His glory from Him even if your try.  .

During Jesus' earthly ministry, as much as His words were heavenly you must understand that those with whom he spoke and related with were sense-ruled men. They were not born again because it wasn't possible to be born again. His blood had not been shed, Jesus was not yet glorified and the Spirit had not been sent.

The Spirit of truth has now come and some of those who first received Him (Peter James, John, Paul) have written and we believe those great Words and you are offended. . . Why? Are you trying to get us to believe that the scriptures contradict itself? Its by the same Spirit my brother. Rather than quarrel, get understanding.

    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

God's Mission for Your Life

TEXT: LUKE 10:1-24

"After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come" (Luke 10:1).

More often than not, believers spend endless time and resources more in search of what constitutes God’s purpose for their lives.  They expect something more grandiose.  But God has a simple purpose for our lives than we may realize.

Christ’s ministry grew from the initial 12 disciples to a multitude of people.  Having experienced conversion through the message of salvation, they began to follow Him.  Out of these, the  Lord  called 70 whom he paired and deployed to every city He was due to preach the gospel.  He told them to expect opposition and hospitality.  And, as part of the commission, to heal the sick and call all to repentance by proclaiming that the kingdom of God was near.  They were not to waste their time in places where they were not accepted, but recognize that those who despised them were in fact, rejecting Him.

On their return, the disciples were overjoyed because, "the devils are subject to us through thy name."  Impressed, Christ told them to rather rejoice because their names were registered in heaven, even though He had also given them power "over all the power of the enemy."  Their involvement prompted Jesus to rejoice and thank God that had made the gospel available to all irrespective of their status.

The Lord wants us to make soul-winning our most important mission in life.  As we spread the good news of Christ’s sacrifice for the sins of all humanity, we must also pray for more selfless and dedicated disciples that would be committed to evangelism.  It is obvious that there is no unemployment in God’s Kingdom; there is something for everyone to do.  Therefore, we must all get involved.  When opposition arises as we preach the gospel, we must face it with wisdom, gentleness and love.  If we remain tenacious and persevering, we will be as fruitful as the disciples were.  The devils will be subject to us, souls will be saved and we will bring joy to our Lord.

Tb joshua may have made his mistakes in the past doctrinally . Many churches have, just as you are making your own mistake with apostolic salvation . The fact that God calls a man doesn't mean he will automatically know scriptures . You must study to know or be taught to know. Many  Ministers today still make mistakes and will still make mistakes if they dont study. Tb joshua was gifted with healing and prophecy. Most prophets are not teachers neither scholars . If a man build ministry on gifts only , he will enter error.  You yourself gave a link of ministers that couldn't define salvation properly. Tb Joshua needed good people to help him straightens things out. Not for them to look for his destruction.  Anybody can make a mistake. But God sees a man's heart. Since He invited pastor chris and they met, things around him began to change. Doctrinally and otherwise . Thats what the bible wants us to do.

Let me get personal here and I will be starting with my church.  I met a taxi man in London that I shared the gospel with.  He narrated to me how he used to be a zonal leader in my church in Nigeria but was disciplined for having an affair with one of the sisters.  He was relieved of his duties in the church and was mandated to be sitting at the front row in the church during every sermon.  He could not handle the humiliation and then promptly left the country for the U.K with the sister whom he eventually married.  He went from one church to the other occupying himself playing musical instruments until he ended up at the CCC.  Immediately they made him a leader of some sorts and he even told me that they were having evangelical outreaches.  He tried to convince me that he was doing the work of God there and that he needed not to be restored.  Some years later I saw him in one of the Christian television programmes praying and when I met him afterwards he told me that he had now been truly restored back to the Lord and that he has now started his own pentecostal church.  He told me how he got ordained in the RCCG and went to a bible college in the U.S of A.  I asked him why he left the CCC.  He retorted that his eyes became clear and he began to smell the coffee when his wife got impregnated by a member of the choir (the drummer boy), that was the time he began to seek the face of the Lord in genuine repentance and got restored.  Why am I relating this story?  The man in his backslidden state knew the doctrines of the Bible and he used this to bring his parish up to date scripturally, they were even going on evangelical missions, but that did not open his eyes to the lies of the devil nor did it change to church that he tried to cosmetically decorate.  This man was still maintaining that he was doctrinally sound until the scales fell off his eyes.  The fact that you can be saying that TBJ is gifted with healing and prophecy and giving excuses for his teachings tells me that you are birds of the same feather and it is my prayer that the Lord who delivered this man in my story will deliver all of you who are sincere but sincerely wrong.

When your partner in ministry corrects those doctrinal "mistakes" that is leading and has led many to their eternal damnation then we will be able to say that he has received "help from enlightened people."  Do you think that the devil who tempted the Lord Jesus Christ does not know scriptures?  He knows it much than you but he has always succeeded in twisting them  suit his own diabolical lies that are from the pit of hell.

I don't think these guys you are referring to know the gravity of what is implied in that picture because if they know any better they wouldn't be sweeping this doctrine of satan under the carpet.  For them to be claiming that the qur'anic Allah and the RCC crucifix is the God that they are worshipping goes a long way in understanding why these people talk they way they talk.

Ask your friend how many years ago that picture was taken. Maybe 20 years ago. Spirituality is not it the outward pretence. It is the devil that dwells on a man's past. Does tb Joshua still believe that jehovah is allah till now? . Knowledge increase everyday . How can a man be digging a past that God has forgotten? We still have many christian today that still believe God is Allah. I thought so too until i read a book ." Who is this Allah?".
