The 8th national assembly did a lot and were never a clog in the wheel of the executive. It was the executive who were and are still clueless on how to effectively run the business of the nation called Nigeria.

So holding on to the budget for 6 months is not a clog in the wheel of executives and Nigerian nation?

Far better off bro. The executive and legislative arms of govt are not enemies just like Saraki made some of you believe. In fact both arms need to develop a cordial relationship for the betterment of Nigerians.

Saraki used the national assembly to antagonise the progress of Nigeria.

If not for any reason, the 8th senate deserve commendation for the fact that they didn't condone executive recklessness and bad governance from the lifeless one. When last did anyone hear of scandal or lapses of the executive. It's become a government of 'padi-padi'. As we speak, many flaws of the lifeless one are being covered by the duo of Femi and Ahmed.

Mark it, the 8th senate would be like angel when compared to the 9th senate at the end of this regime.

Debates and conversation encourage growth as well as development, because while debating you get to see things from several different angles; hence widening your scope.
Nigerians truly deserve the leaders they get. They left the main issues; we have a huge budget deficit, a deficit brought about by the need to fund the exotic lifestyles of our legislative and executive officials. A huge portion of the budget is also meant for debt servicing, not debt repayment. God has blessed Nigeria, what are we doing with the blessings.

By passing the national budgets in July? Don't confuse being grandstanding with being productive. No sane Nigerian will wish for the experience of the 8th national assembly

In Buhari's first term, he always submitted the budget proposal late December every year. Should we blame Saraki for it too?

They were following due process. If the then ministers and MDA's had honored the national assembly's invitation, the passage of the budget would not have been delayed.

Wasn't Saraki an APC senator? Once the head is rotten, the whole body will be equally useless. Were not PDP senators and house of rep members in the national assembly this time around?
