Happy Sunday all.

I created a new nairaland account because of this, I got relieved of my job last month and I am willing to learn a new skill before the year runs out.

I am trying to choose between video (film) editing along with cinematography or web development (Php) but seems to be confused with which one to go for. I also have graphics in mind but that would come later so guru in the house, please help me decide the one I should go for so that I can have a side hustle with it.

If u have a better option, u are free to drop it as well.

I believe you're supposed to be the best decision maker in this situation. Just ask yourself which of these profession gives you Joy? That way you'll find out which is easier to learn. We might ask you to learn video editing now while you have passion for web development.

Secondly, people tend to learn faster a profession they love than the one they're convinced to love.

Why I intend going for the web dev is cuz of my discipline...

You'll be better off in video editing I promise you. There's a lot of opportunities out there for video editing especially those who know and understand Adobe After Effects. Trust me you'll love it.

I do both....you can do it too bro; though it takes alot of practice....some of my works can be found on my IG account@swif_bot

Good day, you actually don't need much to start learning, all you need is a good system to start practicing, Internet connection for tutorials and you're good to go.
I'm a video editor and vfx artist and I learnt from Lynda.com and skillshare.com which are online learning platforms.
If you will be interested in starting to learn just hola me.

I am planning to learn it from a Film Academy.
They call it Film editing. I don't know if it is different from video editing o.
