Oblongata:am not a father though, but I don't believe in using the whip at all. I believe in any other form of correction apart from using the whip. I really hope and wish to be my kids best friend |

lollybizzu:Did you see where I wrote "more helpful"? I didn't say I did not grab Oga, things can always be simplified so that more audience can grab and benefit. Anglophones like you are not very many on Nairaland. Next time proof read before clicking send. Your spelling get k-leg |

My little brother, they said i was too soft on him. Infact for me it was harassment . Everytime they will say im spoiling him. I kept trying to discipline until i became devil cuz ppl kept telling me i spoilt him. when i turned to a demon over him. Ppl said its not them that pushed me. I am the one that is violent. before, it reached a point, if i talk softly to this boy, cant even attempt to hug, they will just look resigned and irritated. But they said they never meant for me to become very mean and violent. What did it mean then, when every time they will be singing to me that i spoilt him, i made myself look good to him and made others disciplining to look like devils. omo, training a kid and knowing whats right is confusing. I hope people wont drive a rift between me and my own kids when i have mine. i hope they wont make me and my kids hate each other, cuz once Nigerian friends and relatives enter your home , they can so push you. Until you act hostile, knock and beat ur kid, they're not ok. |
