M7 like most people who think they're clever played himself! He thought he was pulling a fast one on Uhuru reneging on the Hoima/Lokichar pipeline and partnering with Tz on an alternate route-now it seems ours will reach the global market in commercial quantities before his-he discovered oil 6 years before us and the world is moving away from hydrocarbons! By the time he uneffs himself maybe in 2032 Idk if his oil will ever get out of the ground!

Ghana - has to try aim for world class houses - like many in Nairobi or South Africa - not shabby looking houses like you have in Nigeria- that go for as high as 5-10M dollars a single unit. These kind of real estates are attracting buyers from all over the world.

You're confusing under-sea cables (that was a fad 10yrs ago - with - home broadband - fiber to home - do you have fiber connection from your ISP to your home? Don't talk about offices - because in a place like kenya - this was nailed 10yrs ago - every commercial building has fiber connections.

Yes Nigeria is big zoo...because as of 2017 - you only had 150K fixed broadband ( I don't know how many are fiber) - Kenya has about 0.5M (about 3 times your fixed broadband)...South Africa last I checked had about 2M fixed broadband connections.

Amongst many of Kenya's tribes, kingship was non existent. Anyone worthy can become the ultimate leader. This is why we had cases of where great warriors, medicine men, magicians or rich individuals becoming tribe leaders while backed by a council of elders.A good example was Meketilili, she was such a wise and strong magician/medicine woman that the Giriama elders made her their leader. No man dared her. We can also look at the cases of Luanda Magere, Koitalel, Syokimau and Fumo Liyongo of the Swahili,these men and women were not royalty by default,they earned it. There have also been strong women and chiefs from central Kenya. In quite a number of Kenyan communities, any badass woman or man would rise and lead! It was that open! You just had to be worthy!

- An Irish woman Irene Duffy Lynch who had read Chinua Achebe's book, Things Fall Apart, many times wants to translate the novel to her language


- Achebe derives title of his world-famous novel from a poem written by Irish poet WB Yeats' The Second Coming

- The theme of Things Fall Apart is quite similar to that of Yeat's The Second Coming

When late African literary giant, Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe wrote his world-famous book, Things Fall Apart, he claimed was inspired by the poem of late Irish poet, WB Yeats, The Second Coming.

Achebe derived the title of Things Fall Apart from the third line of William Butler Yeats’ poem, The Second Coming.

“Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world ...”

While Achebe is writing about the arrival of British colonialism and accompanying Christian missions causing chaos in Africa as they come into conflict with traditional Igbo culture and religion, Yeats writes against the cultural as well as political imperialism of the English.


Yeats poem and Achebe’s novel both draw attention to the parallels between the English oppression of Ireland and its oppression of Igbos in Nigeria.

According to veteran Nollywood actor who is now based in Dublin, Deji Adenuga, via his Facebook page noted that Irish woman, Irene Duffy Lynch, who has been to Nigerian fell in love with Achebe’s Things Fall Apart so much that she was said to have read it over and over and again.

Lynch was so impressed with Achebe’s book that she fell in love with it and got inspired to translate Things Fall Apart to Irish language.

The Irish woman hopes to bring Achebe’s Things Fall Apart into schools in Ireland for the enjoyment of the people of Ireland and the Irish people all over the world.

The federal government on Thursday, October 10, signed a deal of $3.9 billion with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) for the construction of the Abuja-Itakpe railway.

The Chinese firm, according to Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation, will also handle the construction of a seaport in Warri, Delta state, Daily Trust reports. S :Ppeaking in Abuja during the signing ceremony, Amaechi said that the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement states that Nigeria will take care of 15% of the cost, while CRCC will handle 10% of it.

The minister also stated that the remaining 75% will be borrowed by the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) which the federal government will pay back in a period of 30 years after which it will take back ownership of the assets.

He said: “We will give them a sovereign guarantee and they will give us a performance bond that protects our sovereign guarantee

When they finish construction, they will manage for 30 years. “The entire railway for now in Nigeria is constructed 100 by CRCC. I think that the good working relationship we have had with CRCC is the reason we have not been able to engage other companies.”

Tanzania had powerful kingdoms before independence,after independence,the government abolished all chiefdoms and kingdoms for the sake of forming a non tribalist nation.Today we are regarded as the most unified,non tribalist nation in africa with one language!
