If you intend travel, of going far distance with the car then I think the v6 is better, but it it’s intracity then get the I4 plugs.

Not totally garbage but once you don’t treat the engine well, 2AZ will pack up on you

The issue with the 2AZ engine is well documented. The internet is there for you. Camry 2007 to 2009 has this same 2AZ engine issue. If you have the money I'll advice you go for 2010 and above, or better still get the 6 cylinder of the 2007 model as earlier adviced.

Very sturdy engine except the 03/04 batch that experience the stripped head bolt.
The major killer is the ubiquitous 20w50 Nigerians pour down the oil fill hole. It can kill just about any modern engine.
And of course with Camry being a choice car for most low income and middle class who patronise the 20w50, failures are bound to be common

Its up to you. Both engines are strong and reliable. The v6 is faster but consumes more fuel, the i4 might need oil top up between oil changes (might be negligible or serious depending on a lot of factors). Mine use 0.5L after 2000miles. So the real question is do you want power or fuel economy?

So the v6 doesn't have the oil shortage issue? I'm considering buying a Camry within 07-09.
