How would the common man be patriotic to this country with this much suffering from all angles?

No light, no road, no water etc. What then are they even existing for?
Re: Floods On Agric-Ishawo Roads, Residents Cry To Lagos Government by SenecaTheYonger: 3:58pm On Oct 11, 2019
Because it's okay to destroy government road, but not to repair it.
Unbiased1:
lol. And this is not even a federal road. Why did Ambode send contractors to destroy the road the people were managing in the first place if he wasn't going to provide immediate funds for the project? Sanwo Olu should also start working na.

AutoReportNG:
Again, we are back to the Agric-Ishawo road in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The residents of Agric/Isawo area, Ikorodu, Lagos State, have drawn the attention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the bad state of the road.

In June 2019, the Lagos State Government ordered HITECH to work on the Isawo/Agric road after series of complaint about the bad state of the road, they really came but did a shoddy palliative job which even worsens the place the more.

Residents of this area have taken to the social media to cry for help especially now that it's raining, last week was worse as the water from the canal got the climax such that cars, buses and even Keke Napep can't move.

AutoReportNG spoke with some of the residents who confirmed that life has been hell in this axis, according to the respondents, "Agric-Ishawo road used to be a good road until when the Lagos State Government decided to upgrade and repair it since then, living and doing business in this area has been a nightmare, its worse when it rains. Keke Napep charged us as high 300-500 naira just to navigate this road, every one of us has formed trekking committee because we can't afford the fees and we can't really blame the Keke Napep people because the road is bad."

We are using this medium to call on the Lagos State Government, ministry of works to please intervene and help people in Agric area, we learnt that even the local government chairman is helpless and looks up to the state government for urgent help.

Nigeria's faulty federalism at the centre is depriving rich states like Lagos state of the extra funds to take a proactive step to address its road network.

The south west must join the rest of the southern states to call for restructuring.

The pro-north system which keep all the powers and money at the centre is not acceptable.

There should be devolution of powers to the states with more money flowing to the states to address delapidated public utility.

The other day it was the Lagos state government that was donating vehicles to the federal police.

If Nigeria is a good country where things are working normally, Lagos state is supposed to have its own state police to address its security needs.

APC, Tinubu and his acolytes are cruel and demonic people. By the time they share their states' money with an agreed sharing ratio, nothing is left to work with.
They are rather callous.

It seems the government had deserted Ikorodu, the only presence of the government is just the BRT buses, the area of environmental sanitation is very poor.

When ex gov babatude fashola was chanting eko o ni baje and demolishing shanties built on drainage channels and road sides we thought he was a God sent. His contractor who is tinubu, truly constructed roads but those roads didn't last up to 2 months before they turned into potholes. Now 90% of those roads are very bad. What is the money nurtw is collecting from commercial buses for?Fashola,mc oluomo who is NURTW treasurer and hitec needs to account for the billions spent on a shoddy work.
Sometimes it's good to bottle up ignorance and shelve hatred in order to grow intellectually and have peace of mind. Silence, you see, is a great virtue.

Seems Sanwo Olu will be the worst governor ever in Lagos state .
I wonder why he hasn't swung into action yet by fixing all this terrible roads.

Who says 4yrs isn't enough time to make a huge difference?

This is how they will be dragging their feet till their tenure is over then they will ask us to vote them in for second term.

Well I live in this area tho I’ve moved out and during Sanwo Olus campaign he spoke and promised to do the road once elected into power so we all came out in numbers (the place where people were trekking at the edge of a fence is a public school which was my polling unit is few minutes away from my house) seeing as Ambode abandoned it once he didn’t have party ticket. That’s why the second highest vote in Lagos came from Ikorodu only for him to be elected and keep mum about it, I spoke to one of the Hitech guys a month ago he said they haven’t been paid and because of the complains they came to do patch work but can’t do major construction without being paid.
I’m saying all this so that you know not to just talk without having all the specifics
Cheers
